::::The name seems fair to me. "Black money" from my experience (can I say that on a talk page?) is indeed a common expression in India. So "Indian black money" makes editorial sense to me. On thing that the article appears to omit is how widespread these practices are. It suggests that this is the preserve of large corrupt organisations or individuals. While, from what I understand it is common practice among many businesses? There is also no mention of white money (money that has been declared and gone through the system.) Title

we all ever talking about how much is the black money of Indians and who's is that .... i don't feel that seriously it matters specially in that case when the government is incapable of bringing it back to country. it is well understood that why government seems to be so handicapped when we talk about bringing back the black money, it is so obvious because most part of that black money is of politicians and higher government officials who are technically ruling this nation. so how can they take step against themselves. So what i think the matter to discuss should be "HOW TO BRING MONEY BACK TO INDIA". i have some suggestions, since it is so understood that those holding the black money are not honest enough to reveal themselves, and also till now the banks like Swiss Bank are not going to help in that concern because it is good for Bank's health. So i think if it is possible the government should give them OPPORTUNITY TO INVEST IN INDIAN MARKETS with a bit conditions and without any action taken against them. this act seems to be a act of helplessness of the government but anyways it is going to help Indian economy somehow. as per internet i come to know that the black money is around 13 times the debt on Indian nation, the government condition to those holders could be that by getting together they just payout the debt on nation. I think it would help Indian economy very positively. The motto should be to bring back the Black money, and if government have good plans enough for that which are not visible till now then government should work on that and should fulfill the motto. because all it matters is to do some better. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 14.96.175.248 (talk) 12:12, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Title

The title should be "Black money in India" [1] Shyamsunder (talk) 10:29, 11 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What is black money?

The lead of this article needs, in the very first sentence, to explicitly state what "black money" is. Maybe the term is common in India, but it has no meaning to me as a speaker of US English. Clarify, please. Qwyrxian (talk) 05:56, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Black money means untaxed money earned in parallel economy.Shyamsunder (talk) 10:08, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Good, but that should be in the article. --DThomsen8 (talk) 01:24, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Unless someone can provide evidence that the term "Indian black money" is a common, regularly used term, then this article should be either renamed or deleted. Wikipedia cannot be used to publish original research. Qwyrxian (talk) 01:14, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The name seems fair to me. There is also no mention of white money (money that has been declared and gone through the system.) 80.176.88.36 (talk) 20:37, 6 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Crores

What are Crores? Isn't India's currency in Indian Rupees? --DThomsen8 (talk) 01:23, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please refer to Crore. Shyamsunder (talk) 02:27, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
My point is that there is no link to Crore in the article, and to those unfamiliar with Indian finances, an amount in Rupees would be expected. Yes, I know the amount in Rupees would have a lot of zeros. This article is informative, but in sad need of copy-editing, more links, and other effort. I added templates to this article, but the effort to polish it is way beyond what I can do, especially since Indian English is expected.--DThomsen8 (talk) 12:35, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
