You also seem to accidentally have removed an important paragraph already present in the article [1]. Cheers, —Ruud 13:25, 28 October 2011 (UTC)
- Read his edit comment to see why. It's in the link you provided. Srobak (talk) 14:04, 28 October 2011 (UTC)
- That particular paragraph was already in the article before the IEP. —Ruud 14:56, 28 October 2011 (UTC)
- Ah, sorry about that.. I tried re-adding it, only to discover that most of it was already present in the Applications section. I added the original Uses section in a comment. I have also added a third application from what I gleaned from the Uses, though it is a bit tiny (Please improve it if you want, or remove it altogether. I, myself tried to explain the mechanism with the vector thing, but I'm not sure). Thanks, ManishEarthTalk • Stalk 10:18, 29 October 2011 (UTC)

IEP Student List
[edit]Hi. The situation of vandalism now by IEP students editing from IP numbers, copyvios, recreations of deleted articles, and interference with established articles is now getting MUCH worse as this phase of the project draws to an end. We're not getting sufficient cooperation from the Campus Ambassadors who are responsible for the mess, so I'm wondering if you could help us to help the project by providing the generic lists of students, and their articles that has been requested so many times. Anything you can do would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 13:30, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
- Wait.. I don't quite understand... You want a list of the students and their articles? I think that's here. Yes, I know, half the articles haven't been started and most of the students' usernames aren't there, but that's the best I can give you. (Maybe you're mistaking me for a CA... I'm an OA, and I've only recently joied the IEP project to help clean up the big mess that it has become... I have access to the same info that you do). Actually, I have just emailed Nitika (one of the WMF coordinators of the IEP) asking for student usernames to be filled in. Maybe you can ask her for details (User_talk:Nitika.t). ManishEarthTalk • Stalk 13:46, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
- Nitika has been refusing to answer her communications for weeks. We don't have the lists. There are tables, but we don't see why we should spend hours stripping away the table markup so that we can use the lists on our watchlists. if we have a simple list of syudent names, and a simple list of the IEP articles, we dump them in our watchlists and check them every time they are edited, and every time a student gets a new warning on thier talk page. Wr have to start blocking these stidents now - we've been too soft with them for too long. I've lived and worked in India and I understand the r problems, but it's time fro the CAs to pull their fingers out. Anything you can do to get those lists done would save a lot of problems of monitoring these articles and their ediors. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 14:03, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
- Hmmm... She has been responding to the communications (by email) of those doing the cleanup. Anyways, I'll ask her if she has the lists. Otherwise, we'll have to do it the hard way (I could write a script to get the article/user names.. I'm trying that now..) ManishEarthTalk • Stalk 14:18, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
- Alright. Using JS, I have extracted a chunk of articles from the page. Note that the list is only partial (It's 1.1 - 1.6 referring to the TOC here). The list of articles is here. I shall add more there as I go along, and I'm also going to add student usernames to this page. Note:The extra linebreaks in the rawtext do not delimit anything. ManishEarthTalk • Stalk 14:47, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
- Fantastic! You've no idea how much this is going to help. Please keep the list vertical if you can, but don't worry if you can't. It's late here in Thailand and I'm closing down for the night, but I'll be aback at my desk at 6 AM, and look at it all tomorrow. Thanks again most sincerely for being on line and doing this for us. The list is vertical when you are editing it. I didn't want to add BR tags to every line because I assumed you needed just the links without markup, so I've kept line breaks that show in editing mode, but not on the page itself. If you want me to add BR tags to every line, just ask; its a two-second script =) . ManishEarthTalk • Stalk 15:01, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
- Ah! Sorry, I didn't think to look at it in edit mode. I usually put lists like this with a <pre> tag at the top and a </pre> tag at the bottom, and then they can just be copied straight off the page. Thanks again for all your help. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 15:13, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
- Ok, thanks! I'll add the pre tags... Ill probably turn in now, too and finish off most of it tomorrow and day after. ManishEarthTalk • Stalk 15:20, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
- I added the students (of sections 1.1-1.6) here. I've just added links to their userpages, but I can change it to contribs or talk if you want. Oh, and by the way, next time you have to "spend hours stripping away markup", just ask me or someone else who can script (check out WP:US#Members or post at WP:US/R) to look into it. Things get done a lot faster that way (provided that its in a regular format, not haphazard). ManishEarthTalk • Stalk 16:06, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
- All Done! There is a list of articles here, a list of students here, and a watchlist of the articles here. You may do whatever reformatting you want with the lists. The sections are probably irrelevant (I did the extracting in chunks, so I made sections so that I wouldn't get confused about what goes where). If you want, though, I can add the other sections from the page.
- Note that the usernames and articles are only those found at WP:India Education Program/Students. Wherever an article name was missing (there were lots of fillers like "Example" and "YOUR ARTICLE HERE"), I have only removed the filler and not investigated the matter. Ditto with students (You can usually find out the username of a student by cross-checking the history of an article with the student name--which I have not done in this case.). I have asked Nitika for the student usernames, I hope we will get them soon. I'll then add them to the list.
- If you are organizing a mass cleanup, please let me know. I don't have that much time nowadays, but I'd love to do chip in if I'm free. And don't hesitate to let me know if you want anything else done with the lists. Cheers! ManishEarthTalk • Stalk 11:02, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

- Thanks enormously again Manishearth. I will quickly quickly tidy up the lists and distribute them. I will not be personally organising anything, I'm just an ordinary admin on Wikipedia and I must get back to my regular work. However I have spoken to the programme organiser today, and he will be travelling to Pune tomorrow to sort things out. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 11:45, 1 November 2011 (UTC)
- There were some odd items in the lists, probably due to people putting data in the wrong table cells. I think I found most of them and I have posted the lists at Wikipedia talk:India Education Program. If you have a moment, please scan quickly through the lists and see if you see anything odd. Thanks. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 12:51, 1 November 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, I had to remove quite a few of those (ambassador's usernames in the same cells as student usernames, [edit] links, and filler links). I don't see anything weird in the new lists now. ManishEarthTalk • Stalk 08:58, 2 November 2011 (UTC)

Reversion of edit in "Interaction between fiscal and monetary policy"
[edit]I have given the relevant reference and also the page number wherefrom a word to word citation has been made and a word to word citation was required as it constituted someone's opinion on US economy which cannot be cited in my words. I have seen many topics in which such citations with appropriate references are made. Please guide me as to what should be done as I believe that edit is important for my topic as it gives an emprical analysis of the topic. Thanking you. Reardenfrisco (talk) 16:06, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
- Oh, sorry about that... I didn't explain myself properly... I know that you have word-to word cited the stuff in quotes, but my question is, where have you gotten the rest of it from? It looks copied from a textbook (from the textbookish language). If it isn't copied, you may revert to that revision (Just go here and click save). Another thing is that we usually don't have whole sections on one person's view. We have a policy of neutral point of view, and we shouldn't give too much importance to one view. I am unfamiliar with the topic, so I'm not sure how necessary your addition is. It would be better if you rephrased it a bit (Make it less textbookish, more encyclopedic), and maybe shortened it. If you feel that it is a necessary section, then you need not shorten it (Try to imagine it in a encyclopaedia and decide for yourself if it should be there). ManishEarthTalk • Stalk 16:27, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
- Go through this section especially... ManishEarthTalk • Stalk 16:55, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
Hi Manish, I noticed a bug in the table first list Economics of the Social Sector Year 2 Group A (section). Take a look it's about a quarter of the way down. I didn't try to fix it for fear of making it worse. Best, Voceditenore (talk) 18:56, 12 November 2011 (UTC)
- Done. I'm using a script to do the column-shuffling, but, unfortunately, the script just about works (I had to work out quite a lot of bugs). Now, it mainly trips up whenever the table format is irregular, i.e., when someone forgets a blank || for an empty table cell or a |- for a new row. I usually catch these bugs as I convert, but this one was off to the seide, and I must have missed it. Thanks! ManishEarthTalk • Stalk 01:34, 13 November 2011 (UTC)
Future of the US Education Program and the Ambassador Project
[edit]You may already have this on your watchlist, but just in cas, there's an interesting discussion about the future and the growth of the US education program along with the future of the Wikipedia Ambassador Project here. Voceditenore (talk) 08:33, 18 November 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks! I will read it (and comment) when I get the time. ManishEarthTalk • Stalk 08:42, 18 November 2011 (UTC)
IEP student lists
[edit]I fiddled around in Mathematica with User:Manishearth/Ambassador/IEPstudents/rcl/fschulenburg and User:Manishearth/Ambassador/IEPstudents/rclthis morning. The union of the two lists is:
The complement of the two lists is:
The new users Nikita recently added are:

That takes us up to 770 total students. I think this is still incomplete (remember the boasts about 1000 students?) but good enough for now. There was a problem with three entries where the script failed to trim trailing spaces. I've fixed that in the lists above. I'm running the CCI now. MER-C 05:30, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
Discussion
[edit]- Thanks! I've put the new list in IEPstudents/rcl. I'll check out the CCI soon. ManishEarthTalk • Stalk 16:09, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
- Oh, and if anyone finds any extra students, please keep the /rcl list updated. ManishEarthTalk • Stalk 16:17, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
- Moar students: User:Danger/OA records and User:Abhishek santosh sharma (replaces User:Abhishek s.sharma). MER-C 02:24, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
- Aah.. Sorry for the inactivity, my ISP is blocking all non-Google pages (No, I'm not in China, it's just that the ISP is pretty wacko). I can view my watchlist (using Google translate as a proxy with my watchlist token), but I'm rather reluctant to log in. Anyways, this is one of those brief times when everything works. I'll try to compile the new list based on the new IEPS data, the fschulenberg data, and the OA records above. Thanks, ManishEarthTalk • Stalk 02:33, 7 December 2011 (UTC)

Another 72 students: Wikipedia:India Education Program/Courses/Fall 2011/Computer Organization and Advanced Microprocessing/LIST. (CCI already updated). MER-C 03:43, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
- Another two lists that need to be converted: Wikipedia:India Education Program/Courses/Fall 2011/Machine Drawing and Computer Graphics and Wikipedia:India Education Program/Courses/Fall 2011/EE 204:Solid state devices and linear circuits Laboratory. CCI not updated for these. (I think that would be the 1000 students.) MER-C 04:00, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
- The last two are already in the master list (The master list doesn't seem to have any data missing from these lists), just that they weren't redirected. I've fixed that. I will update the machine readable list soon. ManishEarthTalk • Stalk 14:45, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
- User/article lists updated. I'm getting 862 users in total. Still more to weed out. =/ ManishEarthTalk • Stalk 15:22, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
- I did a duplicate removal on the updated list and it contains only the 824 students listed at the CCI + User:Mabdul (don't know how he got there). Funny, because when I spot checked the two lists I linked to, User:Prafulla.kambade and User:Swapnilb.elec (right at the bottom of both lists respectively) weren't on the master list. I investigated the issue, turns out the whole thing was caused by a Javascript quirk: When you use appendChild(), the original object is destroyed. Which meant that, while iterating through an array of 25 tables, only 13 of them were ever read, as each element was removed after the iteration. So basically we were missing 12 tables worth of data. We have ~966 users now (The lower tables on WP:IEPS are relatively small, and there are lots of duplicates, so we get only ~100 extra users). I have updated the student/article lists with the new IEPS data (merged with the other sources). Oh, by the way, there is one student, and a few articles who have special characters in their name, which are garbled by the script. I don't think the CCI script needs the article list, but if it does, you may want to search for "?" on the list and fix the links. I have fixed User:Écrivain on the student list, so you can use the list as is.
By the way, what sort of "duplicate removal" are you doing? Because my lists should have all dupes removed already.. Unless you are ignoring case. In which case it's better not to do that (except for statistical purposes) as Mediawiki is case-sensitive for usernames, so the "duplicate" that gets removed might actually be the real username, while the duplicate that you've kept could be just a typo. It's better to keep such duplicates, and let the CCI script handle them (Since it discards nonexistant users).
Now I'm going to have to run my bot all over again for tagging IEP users and articles. *Groan*.ManishEarthTalk • Stalk 10:56, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
- I convert the first letter of the username to upper case, then this. I also remove non-existent users (about 1/20). User:Écrivain has already been CCIed (see page 5). You should also check whether the user exists before tagging the userpage. MER-C 11:34, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
- That's OK, as long as you don't feed that to the CCI (I'm quite sure that MW treats title case as different, too).. Regarding the user exists, I thought I did. I'm using your Java framework, and I do have a call to Wiki.userExists(). But, on investigation, it seems to be returning true for all users. Fortunately, I don't think the bot created that many pages (quick glance at contribs), and I can undo that. I opened the query string from the body of userExists(), and I got a huge mediawiki error message. I'll check it out tomorrow, I have to go now. ManishEarthTalk • Stalk 14:53, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
- Alright, I updated to your latest Wiki.java, and it works now. The bug had to do with a discrepancy in the query string (which wasn't noticed during the trial as at that time the script was rejecting all userpages that don't exist), see before update, after update. I have asked User:Kudpung to nuke all the User: pages it created, and then I'll rerun the bot (after ensuring that it IS rejecting nonexistent users). ManishEarthTalk • Stalk 05:14, 21 December 2011 (UTC)

- Won't need that, thanks, the bot works now. Though I'll wait till the nuking is over before running it with editing on. ManishEarthTalk • Stalk 09:09, 22 December 2011 (UTC)

Pages nuked, and I reran the bot. Worked smoothly, now Category:Wikipedians_in_the_India_Education_Program and Category:India_Education_Program_student_projects should be populated. You may want to use those for the CCI, they may have extra users/articles that we've missed. ManishEarthTalk • Stalk 12:06, 22 December 2011 (UTC)

[edit]If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.
If you have any questions please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 16:32, 27 November 2011 (UTC)- I'm not the original author of that one. All I've done is improve the diagram a little bit (Mediawiki overrwrote the author field, it seems). I have no understanding of the underlying field, so I really am not suited to write the description. Contacting the original uploader isn't an option either, as she is a student of WP:IEP, and IEP has been suspended (All students have been told to stop editing, due to mass copyvios), so she probably won't reply to any messages you send her. The best thing to do would be to ask someone at WP:ECONOMICS to figure out what the diagram means. ManishEarthTalk • Stalk 13:23, 30 November 2011 (UTC)

How can we join the definitions of entropy?
[edit]I was sorry to see the entropy question you asked roll off the science ref desk unanswered. The math ref desk often impresses me with their expertise, so given the possible relation of your question to mathematical physics, I cross posted a link to your question over there. Unfortunately, it hasn't been answered there either, receiving only a suggestion of an alternate forum which might help. -- ToE 00:28, 31 January 2012 (UTC)

WikiProject India Tag & Assess 2012 Contest
[edit]Hello friends, we are a number of editors from WikiProject India have got together to assess the many thousands of articles under the stewardship of the project, and we'd love to have you, a fellow member, join us. These articles require assessment, that is, the addition of a WikiProject template to the talk page of an article, assessing it for quality and importance and adding a few extra parameters to it.
As of March 11, 2012, 07:00 UTC, WikiProject India has 95,998 articles under its stewardship. Of these 13,980 articles are completely unassessed (both for class and importance) and another 42,415 articles are unassessed for importance only. Accordingly, a Tag & Assess 2012 drive-cum-contest has begun from March 01, 2012 to last till May 31, 2012.
If you are new to assessment, you can learn the minimum about how to evaluate from Part One of the Assessment Guide. Part Two of the Guide will help you learn to employ the full functionality of the talk page template, should you choose to do so.
You can sign up on the Tag & Assess page. There are a number of awards to be given in recognition of your efforts. Come & join us to take part in this exciting new venture. You'll learn more about India in this way.

[edit]I invite you to the yearly Berlin hackathon, 1-3 June. Registration is now open. If you need financial assistance or help with visa or hotel, then please register by May 1st and mention it in the registration form.
This is the premier event for the MediaWiki and Wikimedia technical community. We'll be hacking, designing, teaching, and socialising, primarily talking about ResourceLoader and Gadgets (extending functionality with JavaScript), the switch to Lua for templates, Wikidata, and Wikimedia Labs.
We want to bring 100-150 people together, including lots of people who have not attended such events before. User scripts, gadgets, API use, Toolserver, Wikimedia Labs, mobile, structured data, templates -- if you are into any of these things, we want you to come!
I also thought you might want to know about other upcoming events where you can learn more about MediaWiki customization and development, how to best use the web API for bots, and various upcoming features and changes. We'd love to have power users, bot maintainers and writers, and template makers at these events so we can all learn from each other and chat about what needs doing.
Check out the the developers' days preceding Wikimania in July in Washington, DC and our other events.
Best wishes! - Sumana Harihareswara, Wikimedia Foundation's Volunteer Development Coordinator. Please reply on my talk page, here or at mediawiki.org. Sumana Harihareswara, Wikimedia Foundation Volunteer Development Coordinator 23:50, 3 April 2012 (UTC)
Marathi phonology
[edit]Hello, Manishearth! I've started to study languages that use devanagari as script because I find them cool and interesting. It's difficult for me to find diferences in the sound of the letter in marathi respect to hindi respect to sanskrit. IPA simbols and IAST transliteration are equal. I have found the amazing page Marathi phonology with very useful audio files and... I think most of them can be used for those 3 languages? What do you think? Can I say "those audios are also hindi or sanskrit"? Thanks! :D -Aleator (talk) 01:49, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
- Hmm, there are a few differences (Sanskrit and Marathi are IIRC identical, but Hindi is different).
- For one, dnya(ज्ञ) is pronounced "gya".
- "ru" (ऋ) is pronounced "ri".
- ण does not exist
- In Marathi, च छ ज झ have two pronunciations each (hard and soft, i.e., ज is both jha and zha).
- There are some crazy things with अं (the vowel, not the letter) and chandrabindis. Not sure exactly what they are.
- (not phonology) ज, क, and फ (IIRC) have dots underneath them in writing.
Hi Manishearth. I'm leaving you this message because you have previously been involved as an adopter with Wikipedia's Adopt-a-user program. A clean-up of this program is currently underway, and as part of the process I am trying to find out who is and isn't still interested in remaining an adopter.
If you would prefer not to be part of the adoption program anymore, you need do nothing; when the overhaul of the project is completed your name will be removed from the list of active adopters. However, if you have current adoptees, an active adoption school or an interest in adopting in the near future, then please let us know by signing here.
If you want to remain in the project and can currently take on more adoptees, there is a serious backlog at Category:Wikipedians seeking to be adopted in Adopt-a-user; it would be enormously helpful if you could take on one or two of the users there. Please do keep an eye on the project for upcoming changes, we could use your opinions and your help! Yunshui 雲水 09:10, 19 September 2012 (UTC)

You're getting this message because you are or have been a Wikipedia Ambassador. A new term is beginning for the United States and Canada Education Programs, and I wanted to give you an update on some important new information if you're interested in continuing your work this term as a Wikipedia Ambassador. You may have heard a reference to a transition the education program is going through. This is the last term that the Wikimedia Foundation will directly run the U.S. and Canada programs; beginning in June, a proposed thematic organization is likely to take over organizing the program. You can read more about the proposal here. Another major change in the program will take effect immediately. Beginning this term, a new MediaWiki education extension will replace all course pages and Ambassador lists. (See Wikipedia:Course pages and Help:Education Program extension for more details.) Included in the extension are online volunteer and campus volunteer user rights, which let you create and edit course pages and sign up as an ambassador for a particular course. If you would like to continue serving as a Wikipedia Ambassador — even if you do not support a class this term — you must create an ambassador profile. If you're no longer interested in being a Wikipedia Ambassador, you don't need to do anything.
First, you need the relevant user rights for Online and/or Campus Ambassadors. (If you are an admin, you can grant the rights yourself, for you as well as other ambassadors.) Just post your rights request here, and we'll get you set up as quickly as possible. Once you've got the ambassador rights, please set up at a Campus and/or Online Ambassador profile. You can do so at: Going forward, the lists of Ambassadors at Special:CampusAmbassadors and Special:OnlineAmbassadors will be the official roster of who is an active Ambassador. If you would like to be an Ambassador but not ready to serve this term, you can un-check the option in your profile to publicly list it (which will remove your profile from the list). After that, you can sign on to support courses. The list of courses will be at Special:Courses. (By default, this lists "Current" courses, but you can change the Status filter to "Planned" to see courses for this term that haven't reached their listed start date yet.) As this is the first term we have used the extension, we know there will be some bugs, and we know the feature set is not as rich as it could be. (A big wave of improvements is already in the pipeline. And if you know MediaWiki and could help with code review, we'd love to have your help!) Please reach out to me (Sage Ross) with any complaints, bug reports, and feature suggestions. The basic features of the extension are documented at Wikipedia:Course pages, and you can see a tutorial for setting up and using them here.
In the past, the Education Program has had a pretty fragmented set of communication channels. We're trying to fix that. These are the recommended places to discuss and stay up-to-date on the education program:
We now have an online training for Ambassadors, which is intended to be both an orientation about the Wikipedia Ambassador role for newcomers and the manual for how to do the role. (There are parallel trainings for students and for educators as well.) Please go through the training if you feel like you need a refresher on how a typical class is supposed to go and where the Ambassadors fit in, or if you want to review and help improve it. If there's something you'd like to see added, or other suggestions you have for it, feel free to edit the training and/or leave feedback. A primer on setting up and using course pages is included in the educators' training. The Resources page of the training is the main place for Ambassador-related resources. If there's something you think is important as a resource that's not on there, please add it. Finally, whether or not you work with any classes this term, I encourage you to post entries to the Trophy Case whenever you see excellent work from students or if you have great examples from past semesters. And, as always, let students (and other editors!) know when they do things well; a little WikiLove goes a long way! --Sage Ross (WMF) (talk) 20:54, 14 January 2013 (UTC) Requesting IP Block Exemption[edit]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.
Manishearth (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log)) Request reason: I am currently behind a university proxy that isn't quite reliable. One common problem is that it suddenly starts reporting that the DNS lookup fails. I usually have an SSH tunnel open to my web host (Usually anapnea.net), and I tell my browser to tunnel all traffic when the proxy starts hiccuping. As part of WP:ACC, I need to create accounts (while logged in). Today, I had to tunnel my traffic while handling a request; as a result I got this error: "Account creation from this IP address (2001:41D0:0:0:0:0:0:0/40) has been blocked by Elockid.", and the reason was that this was a web host provider. Could the IP block exemption be enabled for my account? I'd like to be able to edit and create accounts for ACC while on a tunnel. Thanks, ManishEarthTalk • Stalk 1:54 pm, Today (UTC−4) Accept reason: Gave you IPBE, we'll see if that suffices. — Coren (talk) 18:07, 12 June 2013 (UTC)

I was just working on responding to a couple bug reports for a script that I worked up as part of a request from this project, and I noticed that only a couple people (who weren't even on this mailing list) are actually using the script. A little history on the script: In March of 2014, Jim Cartar came to my user talk page and said he needed some help in acquiring a script for a backlog drive that he was working on that could keep track of and score deOrphanings for a scored backlog drive. I took that request to the project's talk page (BackLog Drive "DO" (De-Orphaning) script proposal) and there was near unanimous support for this. I thought about the proposal and decided the best way to do it was to build a new script (which is still no where near as comprehensive as Manishearth's OrphanTabs) and build into it a mechanism that will make BLD scoring easy. What I'm wondering at this point is, since there appears to be only two people using the script, should I continue to develop this script with a goal of using it for scoring BLDs or just debug the existing script and leave it at that. Thanks for any replies or comments. If you wish to opt-out of future mailings, please remove yourself from the mailing list or alternatively to opt-out of all massmessage mailings, you may add Category:Opted-out of message delivery to your user talk page.
Hi, Possible removal of AWB access due to inactivity[edit]Hello! There is currently a request for approval of a bot to manage the AutoWikiBrowser CheckPage by removing inactive users, among other tasks. You are being contacted because you may qualify as an inactive user of AWB. First, if you have any input on the proposed bot task, please feel free to comment at the BRFA. Should the bot task be approved, your access to AWB may be uncontroversially removed if you do not resume editing within a week's time. This is purely for routine maintenance of the CheckPage, and is not indicative of wrongdoing on your part. You will be able regain access at any time by simply requesting it at WP:PERM/AWB.
