Vernon Chatman (born circa 1972) is a television producer, writer, voice actor, stand-up comedian, musician and a member of PFFR, an art collective based in Brooklyn, NYC. His ethnicity and race is that of a mulatto.

Early life

Vernon Chatman is a graduate of San Francisco University, where he graduated in 1994.[citation needed]

In 1996 he began his career as a writer and eventually a producer, consultant, musician and television creator.

Career

Vernon Chatman was previously a writer for The Chris Rock Show (for which he won an Emmy), Late Night with Conan O'Brien, That's My Bush! and The Downer Channel. Before Wonder Showzen, he and John Lee created and co-wrote Doggy Fizzle Televizzle for MTV. Chatman is also currently signed to a joint venture between sports networks and works as a lacrosse TV announcer. Along with long time friend John Lee (also of PFFR), he is the co-creator of the MTV2 series Wonder Showzen as well as the Adult Swim shows Xavier: Renegade Angel and The Heart, She Holler. The pair met as undergraduates at San Francisco State University.[citation needed] He is probably best known as the voice of Towelie, the marijuana-smoking talking towel on South Park, where he also serves as a staff writer.
