Diana Penty Sheryl (born 2 November 1985) is an Indian model and actress, who will debut under Homi Adajania's Cocktail.
Personal life
Diana was born to Indian bhaiyya parents, a Christian mother and a Parsi Zoroastrian father. Penty has completed her Bachelors in Mass Media from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai.
Career
Modelling career
Penty started her career as a model, walking the ramp for Italian designers Trussadi and Ferre during the Indo-Italian Festival in September, 2005. Since then, she has worked with top designers such as Rina Dhaka, Rohit Bal and Wendell Rodricks.[1]
Penty rose to fame after becoming the brand ambassador of Maybelline, replacing Deepika Padukone.[2] She began her stint at Maybelline with the launch of the New White Stay UV fashion range.[3] She has appeared in a number of advertisements, including an ad for Virgin Mobile, with Ranbir Kapoor and Genelia D'Souza.[4] Furthermore, Penty featured on several magazine covers.
Films
Penty was supposed to make her Bollywood debut with Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar opposite Ranbir Kapoor, but was later signed on to Homi Adajania's Cocktail instead, on Ali's suggestion.[5] Penty will portray the character of Meera Gupta, a simple Indian girl with traditional values. She will star alongside Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Randeep Hooda in the film..
