== Photo of the Australian Embassy in D.C. ==

Hi!

I'm working on a show for Travel Channel and we are looking for a photo of the Australian Embassy to use in one of our episodes. I can download it from Wikipedia but I need your permission to use it based on the WikiCommons policy. If you would grant me your permission I would need you to sign and return the attached release. Please let me know! Thank you!

Interview with Wikimedia Foundation

Hi AgnosticPreachersKid, I hope you're well. My name is Aaron and I'm one of the Storytellers working on the 2011 fundraiser for the Wikimedia Foundation. For this year's campaign, we're interviewing as many of the very active and productive Wikipedians as we can to broaden the range of appeals we run come November. I wonder if you would want to tell me more about your experiences editing and writing here? If so, I'll ask you your personal story and I'll ask you some general questions about Wikipedia. Please let me know if you're interesting by emailing amuszalski@wikimedia.org. Thanks! user:Aaron (WMF)

Greetings from another PK

Hey APK, I just came across your page and was wondering if you were attending Wikimania 2012? I was surprised to see another person use a name I commonly call myself (albeit I am becoming more atheist now-a-days.) (Not to mention you live around Dupont Circle which is where I'm staying right now.) I'm here til the 15th, let me know if you'd like to grab a drink with a Methodist PK from Texas.

You're invited to Masterpiece Museum Edit-a-Thon!

"Masterpiece Museum" Edit-a-Thon at the Smithsonian American Art Museum

The Smithsonian American Art Museum and Wikimedia DC present the "Masterpiece Museum" Edit-a-Thon. Drawing from their vast vaults of art, the caretakers of the Smithsonian American Art Museum have meticulously drawn forth canvas jewels to import into Wikimedia Commons and Wikipedia articles. The museum directors and staff are excited about this project, and would love to have experienced Wikimedians help in the effort! Kirill [talk] 17:55, 29 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Backstage at the Smithsonian Libraries is part of Wikipedia Loves Libraries 2012, the second annual continent-wide campaign to bring Wikipedia and libraries together with on-site events. Running this fall through October and November, libraries (and archives) will open their doors to help build a lasting relationship with their local Wikipedian community.

Organized by Wikimedia DC, this event will take place on October 12, 2012, and will include new editor training, a "backstage pass" tour of the National Museum of Natural History, and an edit-a-thon. Everyone is welcome to attend!
