Well this article sure is a pile of crap.
- Bowden's signal for "leg byes", usually indicated by rasing one knee and tapping it, has been likened to the action of a human pogo-stick
When I've seen him signalling leg byes he's sort of raised a leg and made a circular rubbing motion (almost sexual, dare I say) on the thigh - nothing like a human pogo stick. Has he changed or am I just not paying attention? --Camembert
The Bent Finger of Fate
I don't think the bent finger is due to the arthritis, if you watch him during play he will often signal or gesture by pointing and always has a straight finger. I think, rather, that the bent finger is just another weapon in Billy's amazing arsenal of entertaining calls. Anyone noticed his new 6 call? Classic, he holds the index finger on each hand bent (making a '6' symbol with each if you look closely, try it!) then he starts with both at chest height and counts "one, two, three, four, five, six" moving his hands upwards with each number until they are above his head, classic. Criticisms
"During T20 World cup'2010 ,In the match between India and West Indies ,Billy Bowden signaled Rohit Sharma out ,for a catch .Though the TV replays showed he is not out ,and the ball actually hit his forearm and went airborne .Billy Bowden ,even discussed with his colleague Simon Tauffel before giving Rohit out." Is the Wikipedia entry to be a collection of every contentious decision of his career, a forum for sour grapes and pith? Bilby4 (talk) 03:51, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
