== Amaterasu ==
In the article it says that Amaterasu was born of the womb of Izanami. It then says that "later" more deities were born of her womb until the fire god. However, Amaterasu was not born of Izanami's womb. After Izanami died giving birth to the fire god Kagutsuchi, she descended into Yomi (Hades). When Izanagi went there to find her, she existed as a rotting corpse which disgusted Izanagi and caused him to flee out of Yomi and thus be cursed by Izanami in her anger at the betrayal by Izanagi. After fleeing from Yomi, Izanagi washed himself to purify himself from the filth of Yomi. When he washed, three god were born from him through his washing. Amaterasu was one of those three deities and was born from Izanagi's left eye. Therefore the article is incorrect when it says that Amaterasu was born from Izanami's womb.

Amaterasu

"Age of the Gods"

Aren't there other "Age of the Gods" in other cultures, and in modern fiction? 64.229.101.119 (talk) 06:12, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If more come up, then we can disambiguate. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WikiProject Japan! 16:55, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
A simple search [1] shows there's one for Greek Mythology (the age after the Age of the Titans), one for Egyptian Mythology, one for Norse Mythology, etc... 64.229.101.119 (talk) 04:04, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Do we have articles for them here? If not, then there is no need to disambiguate. If so, then we can certainly do so. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WikiProject Japan! 05:44, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
