Looks like you deleted this page because you believed it to be marketing related content. I'm curious why a company with a 50+ year history and ties to the industry's organizations with fact based content, dates, names and references was considered marketing. There was no personal opinion, adjective descriptors, company promoting or self promoting content on this page - it was factual information only and was checked to be apple to apples against the other pages in the same categories. and Can you please let me know why you didn't just mark as to what improvements could be made and not delete altogether? I am happy to oblige and provide additional source citations and back-up, but it is clear that this company is certainly notable, if not more so, than many in the same category. I'm open to suggestions, but not deletions without merit. Let me know how we can resolve. Thanks, Lkutaj (talk) 20:19, 4 April 2013 (UTC)lkutaj[reply]

Delete article NANOPCM

Dear Jimfbleak,

You deleted my article and I answered to the speedy deletion. Could you let me know if I can submit again that article?

If you disagree, I would like to know which part of the article seems a commercial promotion in order to delet it specifically.

Thank you for your understanding,

Regards

Delete my article

Hi,

I got message from you, I deleted your article because it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines.

Please provide me information how to make independent verifiable my article?

Deletion of article Kan Pesum Vaarthaigal

Hi, I noticed that you deleted the article Kan Pesum Vaarthaigal without any notification. Can you state why, so that I can improve the article :). Cheers BINOY Talk 07:03, 6 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The question has also been asked at WP:HD as to why you believed that A7 applied to an article about a film, as A7 says "This criterion applies only to articles about web content and to articles about people, organizations, and individual animals themselves, not to articles about their books, albums, software, or other creative works." - David Biddulph (talk) 07:27, 6 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
@David. I know that that books etc can't be A7'd but I've regularly deleted films, particularly of the Youtube or student project variety. If you are telling me that all these great creative efforts are exempt, it is very depressing. I appreciate that this is a real film, but presumably your interpretation of the criteria covers all or none. I've unprotected the page now anyway
@Binoyjsdk. It did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines for films.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't write the A7 criterion, and you could (if you wished) suggest an amendment to it, but it seems clearly worded at present. I am, of course, not commenting on the specifics of that article. - David Biddulph (talk) 12:48, 6 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your reply and also for restoring the article. Now editors can discuss or try to improve the article. The Hindu, Times of India, CNN-IBN are considered as reliable sources and are used in so many articles. Also, I know you are busy but please try to inform the article's creator and major contributors after deleting the page. :)

Happy Editing and have a nice weekend. BINOY Talk 17:55, 6 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I would ask that you consider a withdrawal as the topic has more than enough coverage to nicely meet WP:NF. Thanks, Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 03:36, 7 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for revisiting. best, Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 04:37, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jim, don't want to tread on any toes but I've closed the AFD as a speedy keep, the film does appear to meet guidelines as a current Tamil movie, and I think it would waste time prolonging the AFD when I don't think it would be anything other than keep. I can see why you nominated it though. Regards.♦ Dr. ☠ Blofeld 08:54, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted article of "Scott A. Snyder"

Sorry for violating copyright rules, I was not fully aware of the fact that even the biography is distributed freely on the site, it doesn't mean that I can just copy the content to wikipedia. I have changed the context in my words and I wish to make the same page again, with a biography written on my own. Please allow me to create the page of "Scott A. Snyder" again.

Sincerely, jennak83.--Jennak83 (talk) 14:49, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, and some questions

  • What do you mean by "Some style things, no heading needed to lead section, other headings should not be fully capped."?
  • I got the list of publications of Snyder at 'amazon.com' but should I not state it as a reference, because that site might not be considered reliable?
  • My intention was not promoting amazon.com, sorry for that, I just wanted to provide users with further book information.

And sorry for providing external links within the article, I was not aware of the rules of wikipedia (as I am a beginner :(( )

  • And about the notability, he is a renown figure considering U.S-Korea alliance, and the importance of the subject is growing because of recent situation regarding North Korea. But if his notability matters, what should I do? If I have to put in why he is famous, it might not seem neutral.
  • There are many long terms such as "U.S.-Korea policy program at the Council on Foreign Relations", which deters me from creating a whole new sentence, because even if I configure the sentence differently, those long words make my sentence feel similar. Is there any way I can do about citation?

Blak Prophetz Article

Jim, Please could you help, I've been working with you for sometime in trying to get my article right. You have helped me throughout therefore I'm grateful. I submitted my article after obtaining the ok and advice from you only to have it deleted within 5 mins by a user called Jayron32 who now states the reason for his deletion was that the sources are "Not Well regarded" Surely this is personal. The publications in this article include Blues & Soul, Notion/Notionmag, (http://www.notionmag.com/issue-archive/index.php) Hip Hop Connection, Echoes including cites from Tim Westwood BBC. Are you saying that these are none reliable/well regarded publications?. This does not make any sense as these publications are global, known and specialist to the artist in the article. Please check the references throughout Wikipedia from known famous music artists who make reference to these very publications. The basis for deletion does seem a bit heavy handed or based on your personal knowledge of a specialist genre. Please advise.JonS 16:31, 8 April 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by John shaftman (talkcontribs)

Thanks for responding Jim, and for your help in getting the article somewhat right. I have not yet had a response from Jayron32. Is it normal for my username to be as the title next to the article name by the way? Thanks again :) JonS 23:30, 8 April 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by John shaftman (talkcontribs)

Jim, I've had a response from Jayron32, who now says the article has greatly improved and he cannot decide if he he should leave it alone. I find this very frustrating, Please find a copy of my response below.

"Hi Jayron, If you can make a decision to delete an article, you can most definitely make the same decision to leave it as an article to be judged by others. You said it yourself that it is a far better article than before. So why the decision to delete it if you were unsure in the first place? Something does not make sense here, I feel as though my work is being held back for reasons which do not carry any real foundation. I admit my very first article was poor and it got deleted by a professional administrator for good reasons. I also admit that I was not happy with his decision but I conformed with what Wikipedia advises and went back to the administrator who initially removed the article and asked if he could work with me to repair and rebuild my article from which he did. What I'm now confused about is your sudden decision to delete my article 5 mins after it was uploaded, with a claim under G4 that it " was not an improvement and a copy of my old article " from which it clearly was not. I've made no change to the article since you took it down but a day later you now say that has " improved and now claim that you can't decide to put it back up as an article ". I respect you as an administrator but I don't feel that the work I've done is respected. I ask with much respect if you could please put my article back as an article and reconsider removing it."

Just a note to say that I don't know how long we'll be waiting on the images- feel free to nominate anything else you've got in the works, as I won't be nominating anything before this one. J Milburn (talk) 19:48, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The Rocks (A Television Show)

Seems that my comments are much the same as the above...except I know why you deleted my page as I looked at the code. Obviously, I'm here as I disagree. The show is like that of other television shows done on Wiki, with which I've partnered in writing, just now my html guru-ess and account holder has left me for college. I have absolutely no connection with the show and nothing to gain financially nor notoriety - it doesn't even air on my satellite stations. I stumbled across a "stub" and started writing, therefore becoming involved in countless hours of research that you deleted without communication. To that respect, I would like to understand why. You obviously also appreciate the time you spend on Wiki, as you have been doing this for more than a decade and take pride in your page, so please remember the Wiki courtesy rules, talking before deleting, saving us all from reading the abusive input from your reader above. I love the editors and admin that have helped me, please be one of those. Thank you. Smacorder (talk) 22:08, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
