Hittite University offers 52 Associate's Programs within 7 schools, 40 [[Undergraduate]] Programs within 6 faculties and 12 masters and [[doctorate]] programs within 3 graduate schools. The student body numbers over 11,000 drawn from Turkey and internationally, with over 400 academic staff and almost 300 administrative staff. Hitit University (Turkish: Hitit Üniversitesi) is a public university primarily located in Çorum, Turkey. It was formally established by the "Foundation Act No 5467", establishing it as a public university and juricial entity, enacted on 1 March 2006 [citation needed]. The university was created from units that had previously been part of Gazi University.

Hitit University is an urban university which has a multitude of campuses around Çorum. Each campus hosts student activities such as the Spring Festival, free concerts, opening concerts, sports tournaments, theatre performances and performances by student clubs as well as scientific and cultural seminars.

Hittite University Central Library

Founded in 2006, Hittite University Library started to serve for the students and academicians in September 2007. The 800 square metres (8,600 sq ft) facility houses a comprehensive collection, study hall, lounge and canteen. It offers access to 20 internet-enabled computers, a copier and a high-resolution scanner. The library is open to students, staff, and independent researchers (although independent researchers may not borrow materials).

The Hittite University library holds 27,000 volumes in its collection. Both print and electronic databases of the library's collection can be accessed by searching the YORDAM automation system or using the library web page. The library is organized into five units: one for each of the five faculties of the university.

The printed library materials are classified according to the Library of Congress Classification system and are offered to use on the open shelf system. In this system, disciplines are split into classes as main divisions and subdivisions. Alphabetical symbols refer to broad classes and numerical sequence refers to subdivisions.

International relations

Hittite University maintains extensive ties with universities throughout Europe and Asia, including the Erasmus Programme, allowing for bilateral exchange programs. The university maintains exchange programs with:

Student life

Housing and Health Care

There is a dormitory managed by the General Directorate of Higher Education Credit and Hostels Institution with 1000 person capacity. Another 750 person capacity dormitory is under construction. Additionally, various private dormitories and houses are available within Çorum. Free primary health care services, dietetics and psychological counseling and infirmary units and 112 emergency services are available to meet students' needs. Moreover, the university focuses on developing alternative systems to increase the participation of individuals with different needs.

Athletics and social life

A broad range of university-supported events are held during the course of the year. Students organize fund drives such as choosing sister schools, clothing support, book support and etc. Student clubs are provided with offices equipped with information technologies and furniture in order to increase their performance. Various areas in the campuses are open to use for students and personnel’s different social, cultural and sport activities.
