:Hi there. The deletion process actually is a little odd, but, requires that a person not associated with the conversation close the discussion. The consensus was on the delete side, which is how Wikipedia generally makes decisions (consensus). If you'd like to have the deletion reviewed, you can do that by visiting [[Wikipedia:Deletion review]]. Thanks for your contributions and sorry that it wasn't kept! Request to Save Content From Deleted Submission

Hi Sarah, you reviewed a page of mine that was deleted for conflict of interest, but I want to save the content from it to use for a new draft per your instruction. I do work for the organization but my username is as an individual so I'd like to continue from the draft and have an editor proofread the new version for approval. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Above_Average

Thank you!

A Barnstar for You!

The AFC Backlog Buster Barnstar

Congratulations, SarahStierch! You're receiving a Brownie because you reviewed 33 articles during the recent AFC Backlog elimination drive! Thank you for you contributions to Wikipedia at-large and helping to keep the backlog down. We hope you continue reviewing submissions and stay in touch at the talk page. Thank you and keep up the good work! --Mdann52talk to me! 19:28, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, since content from this deleted page was apparently previously merged into Bangla Academy we need to preserve the history for attribution purposes, normally by using a redirect or moving the content to a sub-page of the talk page. Apologies if I have missed it but has it been done please? The Whispering Wind (talk) 18:28, 15 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Where do you want me to copy the content from the deleted article? SarahStierch (talk) 18:31, 15 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The article needs to be restored and moved to Talk:Bangla Academy/New bangla academy building suppressing the redirect. Then a {{merged from}} template, linking to that sub-page needs to be added to Talk:Bangla Academy. A recent example of this technique is at Talk:Nobel Prize/Why Isn't There a Nobel Prize in Mathematics and Talk:Nobel Prize. The Whispering Wind (talk) 18:30, 16 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ah! Right on, thanks so much for guiding me through this. That was a first time for me :) SarahStierch (talk) 21:14, 16 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion review for Adam Reifer

An editor has asked for a deletion review of Adam Reifer. Because you closed the deletion discussion for this page, speedily deleted it, or otherwise were interested in the page, you might want to participate in the deletion review. – Muboshgu (talk) 18:42, 15 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Right on. I generally don't participate in the deletion reviews, as I merely close discussions out of courtesy and with little interest in the subject matter. I trust the community to make the right decision :) SarahStierch (talk) 18:44, 15 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
All well and good. I'm just following DRV instructions to inform the closing admin :) – Muboshgu (talk) 19:18, 15 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
And I do appreciate it. I swear, no matter how many times these deletion review things pop up on my page I always think they're not templates. Ha! Regardless, this is what I get for closing baseball player articles :) SarahStierch (talk) 19:19, 15 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion review for Robbie Widlansky

Re-opened AfD

Hi, it was not my intention to criticise you personally but I've re-nominated an article at AfD. You closed the first discussion as "no consensus" and, as I've now explained there, you are not the only person who takes that approach for unsourced stubs that lack a valid reason to keep. I probably will raise the general principle at WP:VPP or somewhere similar in due course because I think that we might gain from some clarity. If I've offended you then please accept my apologies: it is not my intent and there have been far more obvious examples of the difficulty (if only I can remember what they were!) - Sitush (talk) 20:02, 16 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No offense taken! I have no personal attachment to that article at all (and all the others I close), so go for it :) Thanks for being so nice and sweet about it though :) SarahStierch (talk) 21:09, 16 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ha! If ever I run through the RfA process, as has been suggested a few times, then you'll find yours is a minority view once the socks and caste warriors start chattering on Orkut and similar! If ever a RfA were to be derailed, that'd be the one ;) - Sitush (talk) 22:01, 16 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Stages & Stereos

Hello, I was hoping you could look into the deletion of the Stages & Stereos article. I believe it was unfairly deleted, as a consensus was never reached for deletion after you re-listed Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Stages & Stereos. Thank you. --NArca9 (talk) 18:33, 17 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. In order to challenge the deletion of an article you have to go through Deletion review. So, if you are interested in investigating of the article was wrongly deleted, you'll have to go through deletion review, in which the community then discusses the subject. Sorry :( SarahStierch (talk) 19:35, 17 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Sarah. You restored the article citing the user request (I can not find the request, but you mentioned it in the description). The problem is that the article is now in the mainspace, with the template pointing out to an AfD closed two years ago. Would you mind if I userfy it, which is to move it to the user space and to remove the AfD templates and the categories?--Ymblanter (talk) 22:01, 19 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

OMG that was a total accident. I have been doing some research work and stumbled across that and DID NOT MEAN TO RESTORE IT! I'm going to go back and delete it. Thanks for bringing to this my attention. I must have done it some how...some way...by accident. SarahStierch (talk) 22:03, 19 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Great, thanks.--Ymblanter (talk) 22:04, 19 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Heads up: VPP thread

The Tiwana AfD has been linked by me at VPP in connection with a tentative policy proposal - see Wikipedia:Village_pump_(policy)#Tentative_proposal_for_a_new_PROD_variant. - Sitush (talk) 13:01, 20 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Beginning of MassMessage, end of EdwardsBot

Hi. You're being contacted as you're listed as an EdwardsBot user.

MassMessage has been deployed to all Wikimedia wikis. For help using the new tool, please check out its help page or drop a note on Meta-Wiki.

With over 400,000 edits to Wikimedia wikis, EdwardsBot has served us well; however EdwardsBot will no longer perform local or global message delivery after December 31, 2013.

A huge thanks to Legoktm, Reedy, Aaron Schulz and everyone else who helped to get MassMessage deployed. --MZMcBride (talk) 02:37, 22 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

re Anthony Cavit AfD

Just checking in to make sure I wasn't missing something, but from what I can tell seem to have dropped it from the AFD listings. Mangoe (talk) 19:04, 22 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there, yeah, some weird things are going on. I guess some problems with the API? And sorry you keep having to revert things, perhaps someone is relisting them as I'm reading them to see if they should be kept/closed/relisted. Really weird... SarahStierch (talk) 19:05, 22 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I wonder why you deleted galilee mh even though you did not participate in discussion. In addition to disregard for all the work i've done and Notability guidelines meeting article, it represent Arab ancestry and this is defamation and descrimination against Arabs who are 400 millions. The study is scientific related and mentioned in at least 50 Pub Med studies! How can I pursue undeleting it? if you could help for I am lost in the maze of wikipedia procedures thanxViibird (talk) 01:32, 23 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

OTRS administrator

Hi Sarah, when did you become an OTRS admin, I haven't seen it on the OTRS wiki or mailing list? Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 02:25, 23 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I thought an "OTRS administrator" was someone who was an admin and had OTRS access. Guess I was wrong? :) I'll remove my name. SarahStierch (talk) 02:26, 23 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah they are different. The OTRS admins administer the interface (eg, blacklisting email addresses) and OTRS users (adding, removing and access to queues). See otrswiki:Template:OTRS admins for a little bit more info. However you can add which wikis you have advanced rights to on the otrswiki:List of accounts.
