Hello! I'm glad you are interested in contributing to Wikipedia. We welcome new articles about subjects of encyclopedic significance. The article you created, N0valyfe, appears to be primarily about yourself, people you know, or your own ideas. As such it has been marked for deletion. If I've misunderstood the article, please go to the article and follow the instructions in the banner to respond.

For a quick overview of Wikipedia's policies, see the five pillars of Wikipedia. You can still create other articles about encyclopedic subjects. If you can't think of a subject, you can check the recent requests or improve an existing article.

Today I have created an article titled N0valyfe. I would like to find out WHY it was deleted. Thanks.

Thank you for taking the time to contribute; however, having the highest score in an online RPG, great achievement though it is, does not make a person sufficiently notable to have their own article in an encyclopedia. See Wikipedia:Notability for our policies on this – Gurch 20:06, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is a non-notable biography according to WP:BIO. Adding high scores for a game that someone has played doesn't make them notable as a person. This page will shortly be deleted. Please do not recreate it.  (aeropagitica)  (talk)  16:24, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits are considered vandalism, and if you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. You have been temporarily blocked from editing for disrupting Wikipedia by making personal attacks. If you wish to make useful contributions, you are welcome to come back after the block expires. - CrazyRussian talk/contribs/email 20:58, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits could give other users the impression that you may consider legal or other 'off-wiki' action against them. Please note that this is strongly discouraged under Wikipedia's policies on legal threats and civility. Users who make such threats are often blocked indefinitely until their legal case is withdrawn or resolved. Please try to keep a cool head and work positively with other editors. Thanks. --digital_me(TalkˑContribs) 16:40, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's not that Wikipedian's as a whole don't care about Runescape, as a matter of fact, I used to play Runescape, and I still do from time to time. Your article about N0valyfe was deleted because he/she simply did not meet the notability requirements for a living person. It's nothing that Wikipedian's have against Runescape, you'll notice that Zezima's article has been deleted many times as well. Every article on Wikipedia must follow policy, and the notability policy is one of them.--digital_me(TalkˑContribs) 16:50, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I do believe that you have misjudged the criteria, it's nothing personal, everybody does it at some point. The fact that it's a guidline doesn't really make a difference, it really should be policy, and most treat it as policy. Looking at the Google results, 528 is not really substantial, as many of them appear to be related to other things. In any case 500 Google hits is not substantial, I would consider substantial to be about 10,000. But, google hits alone do not make someone notable, as is proved by Zezima who has somewhere around 278,000 google results. Of course I accept your apologies, as everyone makes mistakes (I still make mistakes sometimes!)--digital_me(TalkˑContribs) 17:09, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
