Who are Carol Bridges and Angelina? Are the two rappers listed sufficiently notable to justify their inclusion? --Hjal 22:49, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Colleges

Why is Chabot College and CSU East Bay listed as colleges in Union City? Both are in Hayward, not UC. There aren't any colleges in UC. ~ Sstrieu (talk) 03:06, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think that the community college should be listed under education, since UC is (I assume) in that district, but it should not mislead readers.--Hjal (talk) 03:18, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If both are listed in this page, then doesn't that make Ohlone College on the list? It still doesn't make any sense, there are NO colleges in Union City. This page is about Union City, nothing else.Mang0es (talk) 03:59, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article Rating

I wouldn't even give this article a C-class rating. There are lots of grammar issues and its more like a directory due to all the lists. See WP:NOTDIR and WP:NOTLINK.Killiondude (talk) 07:36, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This article is quite a mess. Hence I added the "this article has multiple issues" tag just to let readers know that it's a mess. I might not have even included all this issues this article has. Michael Patrick (talk) 20:17, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removed as many of the copyright violations as could be detected which constituted over half the article on this date. From the style I suspect it's an anon with a certain fondness for the James Logan High School article. They came from multiple sources with clear (C) notices with no assertion of reuse permission. – Zedla (talk) 01:42, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Demographics

Im pretty sure Union City isnt 30% white, maybe someone could write up a more recently accurate demographics section —Preceding unsigned comment added by S1l3nts4nt4 (talkcontribs) 01:17, 6 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The most recent demographics available are from the 2000 United States Census. (Numbers from the 2010 census have not yet been compiled). According to the [Union City data and the census data, the current numbers in the article appear to be accurate. CactusWriter (talk) 02:14, 6 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notable residents

Zola.svc (talk) 02:38, 23 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but we do not add redlinks to the "Notable residents" sections. The relevant guideline can be seen at WP:LISTPEOPLE. If you create biography articles for these people. and the article survives deletion, then the people can be added. Binksternet (talk) 03:15, 23 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I understand how this would be helpful for those who live in Union City, or are traveling there, but there are things Wikipedia is not. I feel that listing this information falls under that category. There's just not enough reason that I can see to add it. I am sorry. gwickwire | Leave a message 13:07, 6 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The population was 75,054 can you make the change from 71,089 figure here the proof[4] Justformike (talk) 18:54, 7 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. The California Department of Finance estimated the population as 71,396 at the beginning of 2013, and as 72,155 at the beginning of 2014.[2] I doubt that Union City's own website is more accurate or less biased than CA DOF. The 75k figure is not reliable. Binksternet (talk) 19:58, 7 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
