Note: if I've made a clearly bad block, such as something that appears to be vandalism at first glance but actually has a good explanation, please unblock without waiting for me to come back online. If it's something less clear, please at least get consensus on AN/I first. Thanks.

Please add new comments in new sections, e.g., by clicking here. Thanks.

I don't know why we just don't indef him. He's been attacking the article for a month now as a IP as well. --NeilN talk to me 19:15, 7 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Probably not an atrocious idea, but let's try protecting it for a while as well. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 19:16, 7 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Already done, actually, I'm behind the times. :-) --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 19:18, 7 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Protection will be useless when his block expires in a week. --NeilN talk to me 19:22, 7 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

About the Meat-Puppetry Policy: What is going on?

I just went on Wikipedia:Meat puppetry, the page where it states Wikipedians not to commit meat puppetry. As you have been aware, I was formerly accused of it. However, when I went in the policy page, on the top it said, "This is a failed proposal". Does that mean meat-puppetry banning failed to become part of the Wikipedia policy? I don't understand what's going on. Since you're now an admin, I am reporting this strange issue to you. HanSangYoon (talk) 03:21, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

As that page says, the current policy is listed at WP:MEAT. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 13:44, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Is WP:MEAT and the original page any different? HanSangYoon (talk) 21:37, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@HanSangYoon: WP:MEAT is policy, the other wording is not. --NeilN talk to me 21:51, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A new reference tool

Hello Books & Bytes subscribers. There is a new Visual Editor reference feature in development called Citoid. It is designed to "auto-fill" references using a URL or DOI. We would really appreciate you testing whether TWL partners' references work in Citoid. Sharing your results will help the developers fix bugs and improve the system. If you have a few minutes, please visit the testing page for simple instructions on how to try this new tool. Regards, MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:48, 10 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The addition of this image to that article is inappropriate, per Wikipedia:Non-free_content#Images_2 #6. There is a dedicated article to the depiction of this white bikini in that film already, located at White bikini of Ursula Andress. Consider Afghan Girl, whose famous image appeared on the cover of National Geographic. The only place that image is used is on the article about the photograph, despite it being made famous by National Geographic. Consider Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima, which famous image is iconic to the Battle of Iwo Jima, is Joe Rosenthal's most well known work, and is arguable iconic of the Pacific War, yet the image does not appear on any of those articles. I could go on for a while here. Given our guideline on this, I am removing File:Ursula Andress in bikini.jpg from Dr. No (film), as the use there is inappropriate, and adding another link to the White bikini of Ursula Andress article. Please do not restore it. I am also removing the rationale for Dr. No (film) from the image, and re-tagging it as orphaned. If you wish to retain the image, it might be worth replacing the usage of File:Ursula Andress in Dr. No.jpg on Honey Rider and White bikini of Ursula Andress, but having both images is overkill. Thanks, --Hammersoft (talk) 21:18, 15 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Eh, it was just a thought. I don't have strong feelings about it, it can stand as it is. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 21:22, 15 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Split, Croatia - Inhabitants Nonsense

So how do we change nonsense that is written about inhabitants of Split? I tried to change it many times so far but some of you keep changing it back. What is the problem? I am inhabitant of Split and I find that article ridiculous. I am active on many forums and discussions about Split, I'm into its history but I never heard for many of that stuff. Now I have joined Wikipedia in order to change that stupidity. Please inform me what is necessary to do in order to change it!? DelmatST (talk) 19:51, 3 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Tell us on the talk page why the references cited in that text are incorrect. Even better, supply correct ones. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 03:53, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

RfC: Guidance on commas after Jr. and Sr.

Following the closure of a recent RfC you participated in, I have started an RfC on the separate but related issue of commas after Jr. and Sr.. Please see Wikipedia:Village pump (policy) § RfC: Guidance on commas after Jr. and Sr. and feel free to comment there. Thanks! sroc 💬 06:03, 14 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
