PFT Commenter (alternatively spelled PFTCommenter or Pro Football Talk Commenter or Marlins Woman or as Dave Portnoy refers to him, PT Commenter) born January 31, 1985 is a pseudonymous (real name Wayne Tables) and satirical sportswriter and Big-J Journalist, who covers the National Football League and US politics for online publication Barstool Sports. He has previously been published on other sports sites including Kissing Suzy Kolber, SBNation, Football Savages, as well as his own site, StrongTakes.com. PFT Commenter, whose name references Profootballtalk.com, mimics the "macho posturing and racism",[1] or "hot takes",[2] in the website's comment sections.

Connecting the Dots of PFT's Broken Foot

PFT's broken foot has created a national dilemma, creating long and frustrating debates on the circumstances of the break. He has publicly addressed the issue and courageously is reminding people the dangers of walking. Today, walking is the cause of more calorie deaths than ever before. His co-host and producer of the extremely popular podcast, Pardon My Take (leave a 5 star review) have mocked him for his brave actions of walking home alone after a few beverages. However, many believe that the entire story hasn't been made public. As a capital J journalist you would think some of his bros would have walked him back or provide him an Uber to safely get back home. Who is to blame? Some close to the situation have said El Prez has increasingly been concerned of the publicity and notoriety PFT has received. With that being said it isn't absurd to think this was an inside job. El Prez is known for his outlandish behavior, wearing his heart on his sleeve, and being a New England Patriots fan. The Patriots are known for their foul play within the NFL, which may have inspired his co-worker to think and act irrationally. A question that needs to be answered, where was El Prez Big Cat and Handsome Hank the night of his injury? Big Cat and Handsome Hank also have shown great hatred towards PFT's injury, believing he is "slowing down" PMT. It's time to settle this controversy on PMT. The fracture of PMT's foot has yet to be confirmed by a single medical expert and is widely speculated to be a hoax intended to discourage youth from engaging in racewalking.

Style

His writing style is characterized by "didactic misspelling, erratic punctuation, barely veiled racism, not-quite-latent homophobia, conspiratorial anxiety, and arrogant disdain for critical thought" and the character is "dumb on purpose",[3] earning a comparison to the Stephen Colbert character on The Colbert Report[1] with his ability to the league's resident apologists and party-liners."[3] PFT Commenter often overpraises white players for their blue-collar attitudes, criticizes black players for being selfish and overrated, and "eagerly takes the truth-y NFL party line on every possible issue."[1] In response to criticisms of his poor spelling, he wrote, "Im on record that I dont care about spelling, I care about TELLING."[2]

Persona and media appearances

PFT Commenter began as a commenter on ProFootballTalk.com[4] before starting the @PFTCommenter Twitter account in 2012 and eventually becoming a contributor for SBNation, Kissing Suzy Kolber and Football Savages.[2]

In September 2015, PFT Commenter made an appearance on Mike Florio's PFT Live radio program.[5] Also in 2015, PFT Commenter began commenting on the 2016 United States presidential election and appeared on camera several times, albeit in the background, during the television coverage of the Republican Party presidential debates.[6]

PFT Commenter more recently founded the popular sports satire podcast Pardon My Take alongside co-worker Barstool Big Cat.[7] Pardon My Take describes themselves as "the first show by guys for guys", and has featured guest appearances from Blake Griffin, Peter King, Big Country, Danny Woodhead and Kyle Long.[7] Frequent topics include the Killing of Harambe, Joe Flacco, Grit, and J.J. Watt.[7] In October 2016, after appearing on TV seated next to Marlins Man, PFT Commenter adopted the persona of Marlins Woman. [8] It is now wildly speculated that PFT Commenter is an actual Woman, hence is why he needs to produce his birth certificate to reveal his true-born gender, and his hospital bracelet from his broken foot to reveal his current gender. [9]

Publishing

PFT Commenter has also written a self-published[2] e-book, Goodell vs. Obama: The Battle for the Future of the NFL, which imagines a dystopian future in which President Barack Obama attempts to turn the Dallas Cowboys into a soccer team in Kenya, and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell fights him in a boxing match to stop him.[10]

Parental Abuse

On April fools day when PFT Commenter was a child, instead of bringing him to school his father brought him to a baseball game and then turned around after arriving only to bring him back to school. This would in turn cause PFT to rebel against his parents and start stealing their MD 20/20 bottles and drink at a young age causing weakness in the bones in his feet. He broke both feet while attending a football game in college when he jumped onto the field and evaded security while hiding his excruciating pain.[11]
