I don't sit around checking this, so it's NOT radio silence. I have other things to do as well. I am NOT saying I am right and you are wrong. I am disagreeing with you. I think that the other photo, despite it's lesser image quality, lays out a more accurate portrayal of the band and it's founding members. I will revert this again, and keep doing so until you stop since you keep reverting to a photo that is not as informative. This site is about information and not about presentation. Please stop reverting to a photo that does not portray this band as accurately as this one does. <!-- Template:Unsigned --><small class="autosigned">—&nbsp;Preceding unsigned comment added by Ontheroad111 (talk • contribs) 16:41, 24 October 2016 (UTC)</small> <!--Autosigned by SineBot-->

:Ontheroad111 Before I respond, I have a question on something else. Two weeks ago, an anonymous editor claimed to be you. Can you have a look at that message I linked and confirm or deny that claim? :Ontheroad111 Contrary to your claim, you've fallen back once again on your standard radio silence approach. I'm trying to comply with an order from an administrator to discuss rather than revert but if I'm reading this correctly, you plan on flat-out doing the opposite. I'll tell you right now: if you don't agree to discuss soon, I'll revert, and if you revert either while discussing or without discussing, that will be you admitting that you won't comply with an administrator's order. Fair use rationale for Image:Head on straight.png

Image:Head on straight.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:23, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use criteria

The use of images not in compliance with our fair-use criteria or our policy on nonfree content is not appropriate, and the images have been removed. Please do not restore them. — Moe ε 01:57, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationales have been appended to all of the images in question. Chubbles 04:47, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's simply not enough to provide a rationale for the Images. See Section 3a and 8. — Moe ε 18:59, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Are the images being proposed for deletion? Chubbles 19:34, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No, they have just been removed from this article. — Moe ε 19:50, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Current band members

I thought they had a drummer named Kevin Murphy as a permanent member of the band... I could be wrong on that, but this was the impression I got last year. Anyone else have a source on that? Hiberniantears (talk) 16:16, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure you're referring to Kevin Shepard, who was the "permanent" drummer for the Lemon Parade album. After that, I believe he only did some studio work with Tonic. That said, I don't currently don't have a reference to back anything up. Monowi (talk) 23:25, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Request for band picture

Currently, Tonic's article is in need of a free use picture of the band. If you have ever been to a Tonic concert and have a picture of the band either on or off stage, from any year or place, you would be a lifesaver if you upload the picture to Wikimedia Commons[1]. Free-use pictures from the Rock Boat, outdoor venues, backstage...anything picture you could post so we can do the band some justice and make their wiki page look better. Better yet, if you plan on going to an upcoming concert, see if you are allowed to have a camera during the performance, then snap a picture while they're performing:) Thanks for your time, and cheers. I've explained, explained, and explained, and no matter how many times I've explained why that photo doesn't work, nothing I say gets a substantial reply with User:Ontheroad111, whose entire attempts at compromise have consisted of "I'm right, you're wrong" and edit warring.

An impersonator showed up to vandalize, and when I reverted that bright-line vandalism, I got threatened by User:KrakatoaKatie with a block for an offense I never committed. She asked me to come here to discuss. I laid my issues out at Ontheroad111's talk and I see no reason to copypaste that thread here. As usual, Onetheroad111 has gone radio silent. And while I still wouldn't have violated 3RR if I'd reverted the bad image off the article, it's stuck there for a week. I suppose that if they vanish for a week again, I'll be good to remove their blurry, gigantic photo and replace it with the image that stuck for six years as soon as the full protection is up. RunnyAmigatalk 20:40, 14 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Ontheroad111: Pinging. I mentioned that this person goes radio silent for days and they've responded by going radio silent for days. RunnyAmigatalk 18:04, 18 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Ontheroad111 and KrakatoaKatie: As I predicted, nothing. I have spent over a week trying to carry on a discussion and I got tons of radio silence, one-sided edit warring from a user who stopped as soon as they got to three reverts, an anti-policy argument for keeping the bad image that boiled down to "I'm right and you're wrong," a page lock based on a false claim that I was edit warring, an impostor showing up to pretend to be Ontheroad111 because they were mad about a revert I did of a previous bad edit, and as I said was going to happen, no substantial discussion from anybody else. I hope there's no leeway granted to anybody who reverts me with no real discussion, but then again, I hoped that last time. RunnyAmigatalk 19:09, 22 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
