I just edited this article by delivering a translation of the German article. As an employee of Rittal I sure have a conflict of interest, but I wasn't aware that a translation is seen as such, sorry! It would be nice if someone could have a look at my translation (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Rittal&oldid=812542531) and if it is okay publish it. The translation is fine. I removed the claim to 11, 000 employees until secondary confirmation. That may be what the company website says, but I'm not entirely sure what metrics they're using to arrive at that number. 11,000 seems excessive. There seems to be much more on the German version. Is there more text somewhere that you'd like to add to the article? I see now where the proposed text is. Please add it here to the talk page for us to consider. Rittal, headquartered in Herborn, is a German provider of solutions for industrial enclosures, power distribution, climate control, IT infrastructure, and software and services. Solutions from Rittal are used, among other things, in mechanical and plant engineering, the food industry, IT and telecommunications. Founded in 1961, Rittal is the largest company in the owner-operated Friedhelm Loh Group with a workforce of 9,300 at 13 production facilities and 58 subsidiaries. In 2016, Rittal started constructing one of the world’s most advanced plants for compact enclosures in Haiger. The Rittal plants in Rittershausen and Hof are also being geared to Industry 4.0 standards, and a further plant is to open in Dietzhölztal-Ewersbach. • “Top 100 Innovator”: In 2017, Rittal was presented with the Top 100 Innovator award, which goes to Germany’s 100 most innovative companies.
• “Top employer”: Also in 2017, the Friedhelm Loh Group, including Rittal, was for the ninth time in succession named one of Germany’s leading employers by the Top Employers Institute in recognition of its outstanding corporate and employer culture.
• “German Industry Innovation Award”: In 2015, management consultancy Staufen AG and trade journal Produktion presented the innovation award for best product of the year to Rittal for its Blue e+ generation of cooling units. According to the panel of judges, the decisive factors were the units’ innovative hybrid technology, their excellent energy efficiency of up to 75 percent and a 75 percent reduction in CO2 emissions.
• “Fair Company”: Rittal has been awarded the “Fair Company” seal of quality for fair treatment of its trainees.
• Further awards include the following: Axia Award 2010 and 2012, Climate Protection Award from the Hesse Ministry of the Environment, Innovation Award from the “Initiative Mittelstand” for SMEs, Rhineland-Palatinate Innovation Award, Siemens Award and manufacturer’s award as partner of the year from the Meyer Werft shipyard.

Sponsorship

Rittal sponsors a number of football and handball clubs in the region, including HSG Wetzlar. Since 1 March 2006, the company has sponsored and lent its name to the Mittelhessen-Arena in Wetzlar, which is now called Rittal Arena Wetzlar. Rittal was also a major sponsor of Hessentag 2016 in Herborn.
