Sources for medical topics

Hello Zetret. Welcome to Wikipedia and medical editing, such as for perspective on Ayurveda. When making substantial changes to an article (lede for Ayurveda), we need consensus among several editors, explained in WP:CON. Meanwhile, for background on choosing sources for medical content, you may find these resources below useful. Good luck; following you here if you wish to discuss. (Note: please sign and date your Talk page comments using the 'pencil' icon in the upper left of the edit box). --Zefr (talk) 20:58, 4 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ayurveda

Thank you Zefr, Sorry I have two questions, do we have consensus on editing the points you put forth in the Lead section of Talk? I ask because I don't know how many editors are involved for this particular topic. Should I do the edits now? Other question is regarding the low quality German reference for one of the claims on paragraph 1, am I allowed to remove that? The video was helpful, thanks! --Zetret (talk) 23:45, 4 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I think we should allow a few more days to see if there is other feedback. Obviously, this is a controversial article and needs extensive editing, including deletion of the German book, in my opinion also. One can see the article history to gauge how many editors have been active over a given time. --Zefr (talk) 00:27, 5 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The Ayurveda article page protection has expired, and there is new discussion on the Talk page. I reinstated a revised version of the article today. Would be useful to have your input. I noticed your attempt to format a reference; the templates for adding information are at the top left of the edit box in the pick list. Further information is at WP:CIT. --Zefr (talk) 04:19, 7 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, please let me know how to proceed Zefr Every time I made a change, user "AnmolBhat" reverted to a different version previously. --Zetret (talk) 04:20, 8 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Zetret. Another page protection has occurred at Ayurveda, so no one can edit the article until Feb 21. There may be some movement in permitting freer editing of Ayurveda, which has been basically blocked and WP:OWN owned by a few restrictive editors for years. See these 3 Talk discussions, #1, and #2, and #3. Lots of fallout and potential changes, hopefully beneficial for factual medical information, seem to be developing, so let's see what unfolds. --Zefr (talk) 18:21, 9 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for letting me know Zefr. I will stay tuned.--Zetret (talk) 05:36, 10 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Zetret, be careful about getting into a shouting match, name-calling and personal attacks, as it will lead to you being blocked for non-collaborative, derogatory discussion. Better to engage constructively. We have a place to begin with a draft for the lede here, and can add context from this general background. If you can work from this material to create a better draft here on your talk page, I'll contribute, perhaps with others brought in for revisions, then we can seek further consensus on the Ayurveda talk page before editing the article. --Zefr (talk) 01:14, 26 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
