Essays

Regarding this edit, I would like you to read the essay section WP:HUNT#Deletion of articles and the rest of that essay (I do not mean anything by the name of this essay). That essay appears to me (assuming MfD is sufficiently analogous to AfD) to advise that the fact that an essay has been deleted or userfied at MfD, even if that essay was truly awful, does not make it a good idea to look at all the essays created by the same editor to see if they have problems. The argument runs (if I read the essay correctly) that this might place excessive time pressure on the editor who wrote the essay because he would be at the beck and call of a potentially lengthy stream of queries and criticisms, that might make it difficult for him to get more useful things done. Most of our essays contain problems and inaccuracies. In fact, most of them have really serious problems, which is why they never became guidelines, let alone policy. If you want to correct the problems in our essays, it would be much better to go alphabetically or thematically through the list in Template:Wikipedia essays. That would spread the burden of answering queries and criticisms more evenly amongst essay creators and maintainers. I offer this advise only in the spirit of friendship and cooperation. I actually haven't read either the above message or the one below, initially because I was becoming literally sick at the unending bad-faith "hounding" accusations. I was going to wait a few days for it to wear off, then AGF and either read and respond, if the above was a good-faith, rational message, or just ignore/blank if not.

But then, by accident, I noticed the first two of these edits (note especially the timing, relative to my own edits during the same time frame): you are never, ever to accuse me of "hounding" again, which you did as recently as here, or I will request that you be blocked. You are to stay off my talk page, until you apologize for your own hounding of me, and promise never to do it again. And you must refrain from ever engaging in the kind of "enemy-of-my-enemy" behaviour demonstrated in these two edits in relation to me or any other user you conflict with at any point in the future; this last one is not a prerequisite for your being allowed post on my talk page, but rather a basic rule of editing in a collaborative environment.

The simple fact of the matter is that you followed me to several AN/ANI discussions in which you were not involved (in fact you had never edited either page before[1][2], and you had never edited the talk pages of any of the editors under discussion in those threads[3][4][5]), in rapid succession, but not before you decided to take revenge on me for this and this (TTBOMR our only interaction before that point) by requesting that an editor who had been blocked a month earlier for trolling (a few users, but me more than most) be unblocked. You then went on to claim I was "hounding" you every opportunity you got,[6][7][8][9][10][11][12] and even accused me of a "battleground" mentality just because I disagreed with your battleground mentality.[13] You went so far as to assert that someone who was site-banned for hounding me more than five years ago was not banned for hounding me, apparently based on your belief that I am always the hounder and never the houndee (even though you yourself had hounded me), and refused to retract this claim, simply saying "if I was wrong, I apologize (but I don't necessarily recognize that I was wrong)" and actively denying that you had said it even though it was clearly visible just above.[14][15][16] You need to apologize for both hounding me and falsely accusing me of hounding you.

Note that I have not read the above message. I do not care if it looks like a reasonable, good-faith message: the context in which it was delivered makes the actual content of the message completely irrelevant, as it does not appear to contain an apology for hounding me or for accusing me of hounding.

Request for assistance

If you have time to spare it would be helpful if you were to help eliminate citations to Cram101 from Wikipedia, preferably globally across all editions. These books are a mirror of Wikipedia, copied from us without attribution by an indiscriminate robot (see archive 162 of WP:RSN and the essay Wikipedia:Potentially unreliable sources). A number of editors have been trying to get rid of these but they stubbornly keep coming back. James500 (talk) 07:59, 11 July 2018 (UTC)

@Guy Macon: Understood, and yes, I have been doing so already. I appear to have been told shortly after the original ANI discussion to stay off his talk page, but I forgot about that (I might not have noticed it in the first place, since I was trying my best to ignore him completely), and readily apologize for the mix-up. That's what I figured. I asked him to stop talking about you on his talk page, he promised to do so and then proceeded to talk about you some more, and now his talk page access has been revoked.
