In 2016 manuel arturo abreu and Victoria Anne Reise started Home School, a free pop-up art school in Portland that acts against the current MFA-obsessed culture of arts academe. manuel arturo abreu (born 1991) is a Dominican artist, poet, and curator from the Bronx.[1] manuel co-facilitates home school, a free pop-up art school in Portland, OR, where they live.[2]


Home School

In 2016 manuel arturo abreu and Victoria Anne Reise started Home School, a free pop-up art school in Portland that acts against the current MFA-obsessed culture of arts academe. The curriculum consists of classes, talks, exhibitions, poetry readings, and more.[3]
