Every source seems to list DELAG as the world's first airline. However, Compagnie générale transaérienne was founded in October 10, 1909, over a month before DELAG. Though, some sources mention DELAG's founding day as October 16 or October 1st. If last is correct, then it would precede CGT.--Mikoyan21 (talk) 14:19, 9 June 2019 (UTC) |

DM in 1909 ???? !!!!
How on earth could the affair have costed 3,000,000 DM when that currency did not come into existence until nearly 50 years after? If it's supposed to be a modern comparison, then it should of course be in Euros.

World's first airline?
Rufus Porter might've disagreed with you on whether DELAG was actually the first overall. But it was probably the first to fly something in revenue service...68.36.214.143 (talk) 18:13, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
