That the page was deleted in the past has absolutely nothing to do with the concept of merging the article. I fixed all of the offending stuff that got it to be deleted in the past. Keep the article independent. signed, [[user:robertatac|'''''RobertAtac''''']] [[User talk:RobertAtac|''talk'']] 20:03, 16 November 2019 (EDT)

TeS Acquisitions

I wonder if the article should mention the [Thales e-Security] business? Organically speaking it's composed of the Racal Security/Payments business, nCipher, and Vormetric. https://www.thalesgroup.com/en/content/thales-completes-ncipher-acquisition and https://www.vormetric.com/company/newsroom/press-releases/thales-completes-acquisition-of-vormetric mention the latter two acquisitions. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.104.142.199 (talk) 07:13, 21 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Also, not TeS, but maybe the Guavas acquisition is worth a mention?

Proposed merge with InterSense

InterSense is a subsidiary of the Thales Group that does not appear to meet notability guidelines (WP:NCORP, WP:GNG) on its own. I would propose a selective merge of non-promotional content to this article. signed, Rosguill talk 23:48, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

InterSense was the original company to develop MEMS based inertial based tracking. That history is the primary point of this article. If this article gets merged into that Thales Group, that history will be lost. signed, RobertAtac talk 21:17, 6 Aug 2019 (EDT)

"Merge" does not mean "delete". There is no reason for pertinent information to be lost. Captainllama (talk) 08:53, 7 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The history will be essentially lost when merged into the Thales Group as the Group is huge with many diverse holdings and product lines. Suggest a link from the Group page to this stand alone page. I worked pretty hard to get this little Wiki page up and I am against such a merge. signed, RobertAtac talk 11:03, 9 Aug 2019 (EDT)

Support merge: with a rewrite, especially of the intro, as per MOS:JARGON. Merge decisions shouldn't be affected by how much work a self-disclosed paid contributor has put into an article, or their concerns about loss of article prominence. Edit: And I've just found this showing that the draft was deleted on three occasions, including twice for being "Unambiguous advertising or promotion".
