Hellenic Blockchain Association
Hello Jimfbleak,
Thank you for your contribution, I noticed you deleted the Hellenic Blockchain Association draft page. HBA is recognised NPO with all the required legal documents and we simply want to create an informational page. I noticed that organisations like Unisef etc have such pages so I fail to see why it should not be possible for smaller organizations to educate users on their existance.
Could you please provide further guidance as to the how to proceed without violating any Wikipedia policies. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gioulisapo (talk • contribs) 12:06, 29 December 2020 (UTC)

Imerys Page
Hello, This is my first time editing a page, I am in fact hired by an external agency to write up the Imerys Wikipedia page. However I do not work for Imerys directly and I'm basing as much as possible on research and external sources. I will take out any links to their website if that's considered advertising as it's not my intention. I've disclosed my COI in my user page. Can I now make edits if specify in the edit summary? Must I always go through a request edit to make any edit to an existing page? Is it possible to reverse any of my edits? thanks, --MayaVR (talk) 12:31, 29 December 2020 (UTC)

Hi, saw your answer. The Sandbox was just a test, but not meant to be a new page. I understand about the promotional tone. There aren't many Wikilinks available for the History part and other sections. I will now use the request edit process to the best of my ability for subsequent proposals. However I am unclear as how to format the text and links for references when it comes to large sections. Thank you MayaVR (talk) 15:04, 29 December 2020 (UTC)

Hi there, you deleted a page named "Maritime Institute of Malaysia (MIMA)" on 29 December 2020. Text and images on that page are taken from our organisation website; www.mima.gov.my. Please retrieve or please advise me to retrieve back that page. Thank you. Anuarmanshor (talk) 02:37, 30 December 2020 (UTC)

- Hi there, thank you for your response. I am really appreciate it! I will amend text at the page "Maritime Institute of Malaysia (MIMA)" especially on URL link and any promotional text. Could you please retrieve back that page and I will amend it accordingly. Thank you. Anuarmanshor (talk) 07:49, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
- Anuarmanshor, as I've already said on your talk page, for legal reasons we do not restore copyright violations, since it's clear that the company does not permit free use of its text or logo. Please make sure you understand the guidance on your talk page if you intend to try again Jimfbleak - talk to me? 09:43, 30 December 2020 (UTC)

Request for restoring article
Dear Sir, I understand that you have deleted the article Gruv Gear written by me. I understand the reason why you did so. It may be looking like a promotion, but that could have been rewritten instead of deletion. The brand is already known among musicians around the world. So, I believe that it needs a space in Wikipedia even if it is a short one. Please do something if possible. Thank you Musicindia1 (talk) 02:15, 3 January 2021 (UTC)

Jimfbleak you have deleted an article after 5 years in existence after I added an awards section — Preceding unsigned comment added by Noelkoutlis (talk • contribs) 14:07, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
- Noelkoutlis, please sign your messages here using four tildes ~~~~ and give them a heading. There is no time limit on when an article can be speedy deleted, only articles with more than 5000 edits are exempt. It's a promo largely referenced to non RS sources, with few facts to show how it meets our notability criteria. I would have deleted it with or without the awards section, although that is a pretty standard section with company promos. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:20, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
Jim fb leak it seems you abuse your power, what's your purpose to make thousand edits in wikipedia e.g. deleting them ? How can an article be created and edited by many users (who contribute) if you delete them after a few minutes? wish you happy new year and if we have many like you, wikipedia can have only a few thousand articles in the future instead of millions — Preceding unsigned comment added by Noelkoutlis (talk • contribs) 14:28, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
As you can see, after deleting 149 thousand pages, and blocking 20 thousand users

- Noelkoutlis, please sign your messages here using four tildes ~~~~, thanks for telling me, but I know my own adminstats. The deletions are because we get a huge amount of spam, vandalism, non-notable topics and so on here, and also the rules for companies have been tightened recently to try to stem the flow of spam, so older articles are less likely to be accepatble. The blocks are because people persist in ignoring or flouting our rules. This can be through user name violation, persistent spamming, COI editing, persistent copyright violations, personal attacks, legal threats and the like. If you think our policies on these things are wrong, this isn't the place for discussion. Do you have any specific point? So far you have just told me your opinions. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 15:05, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
Noel Koutlis 16:38, 3 January 2021 (UTC) thanks for letting me know Jimfbleak and I'm not going on this discussion. For your information I'm not getting paid to contribute to wikipedia and I enjoy reading a lot of wikipedia. This is the place I also find information about smaller software companies thanks to people who keep these articles alive. This is part of human history and I like donating to Wikipedia organization for having this valuable information. Of course your anti spam work is admirable and there sure is vandalism and I don't question your ethics and I don't think this is a place to express personal opinions. FYI I'll try to recreate the article as draft — Preceding unsigned comment added by Noelkoutlis (talk • contribs)
- Noelkoutlis I saw your draft, and deleted and blocked because you had ignored at least two COI warnings. Have seen the above, I've unblocked for now. If you have no connection with the Daneos group, you should make that clear on your user page, but I'll be interested to know all your recent edits are to this group of companies Jimfbleak - talk to me? 16:46, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
When is it appropriate to tag spam drafts?
In a deleted edit at Draft:Danaos Projects Software Solutions, the G11 tag was removed as "biting the newcomers". When is it appropriate to tag drafts as spam, and when is it appropriate to give it a chance? 4thfile4thrank (talk) 16:32, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
- 4thfile4thrank, I supposed it's a matter of judgement. I've been deleting several Danaos-related articles, and looking at their history, there looks like a lot of COI editing and socking. Two accounts created yesterday within an hour look like SPAs to me. User:I dream of horses is a very experienced editor, and I can see why she made that call, but I have a nasty suspicious nature and I don't think these are genuine newbies, both chancing on this topic at more-or-less the same time. I don't think any of us have acted incorrectly, and no great harm done, cheers Jimfbleak - talk to me? 16:55, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
- Also, I wanted to add that I was acting on assumption of good faith, but Jimfbleak was past the point of 'assumption' due to having more information. --I dream of horses (Contribs) Please notify me after replying off my talk page. Thank you. 23:44, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
5000-edit pages exempt from CSD?
In a message above at 14:20, 3 January 2021 (UTC), you said that pages with 5000 edits are exempt from speedy deletion. I didn't see this mentioned at WP:CSD, and I don't recall hearing anything about it in any policy or guideline. I do remember in the pre-revdel days there were problems deleting/restoring pages with a lot of edits using the normal admin tools so occasionally people with access to power tools (WMF developers or people with database-level access? my memory is fuzzy) had to be called in to help out, but that was many years and many software updates ago and the number may have been a lot more than 5000 edits.
Is there a numerical limit that is specific to speedy deletions? If so, is there a good reason not to mention it in WP:CSD?
- I don't know where it's documented, but if I try to delete Donald Trump, I get the message You do not have permission to delete this page, for the following reason: This page's edit history may exceed 5,000 revisions. To prevent accidental disruption, its deletion is restricted to stewards. Please contact one for assistance. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:51, 4 January 2021 (UTC)
- Ah, so to be clear, a page with 5000 edits can be deleted under a speedy-deletion criteria, but because a steward has to do it, it might take a little longer to delete than normal, did I get that right? davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 🎄 17:02, 4 January 2021 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker). Unsure how CSD gets into this. The regular 'delete' button available to admins won't remove an article with more than 5000 edits in the edit history. This limitation applies to any kind of deletion, speedy or regular. The page in question was Danaos Management Consultants which was over 5 years old, but had only 75 edits. So it was not anywhere near being undeletable due to too many edits. I think Jim's point (above) was that articles don't require AfD rather than speedy just because they are old. EdJohnston (talk) 17:28, 4 January 2021 (UTC)
- @EdJohnston: His point was clear and the 5000-edit limit has no real bearing on the discussion above. However, his comment caught me off guard so I opened a new discussion to get that clarified. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 🎄 18:37, 4 January 2021 (UTC)

Please restore deleted page Smartworks to draft or provide me the source editing . As pointed out by other users Hut 8.5 & Thjarkur. I have created a page which violates wikipedia rules. Draft: Gomez de Reyes
Hi Jimfbleak,
This page should have not been speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement because I’m the author of the book found at https://www.scribd.com/book/333067950/Descendants-of-Melchor-De-Los-Reyes-de-Ecija-Circa-4-1-2-Centuries-in-America-2-Centuries-in-Nueva-Espana-present-day-Mexico-and-circa-2-1-2-Centuri.
