Draft:Technoblade
Submission declined on 16 April 2021 by Robert McClenon (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

- Comment: This draft, as written, does not appear to indicate that one of the biographical notability criteria is satisfied. If one of the criteria is satisfied, please revise this draft appropriately, with a reliable source, if necessary stating on the talk page or in AFC comments which criterion is met, and resubmit. It is the responsibility of the submitter to show that a subject satisfies a notability criterion. You may ask for advice about the biographical notability criteria at the Teahouse. In particular, see and refer to WP:GNG for notability, which is the guideline that the subject should be evaluated against. This draft does not establish significant coverage of the subject. - Comment: This does not need a detailed log of weekly events participated like this. Needs more external news sources covering the subject to show notability. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 14:59, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
- Comment: Please see WP:GNG and WP:ENT. YouTube is not a reliable source. Additional references in independent and reliable sources are necessary to demonstrate notability. Hitro talk 07:05, 21 January 2021 (UTC)

Technoblade (also known as Techno, The Blade, or The Blood God) is an American gaming YouTuber known primarily for Minecraft-centered content. He created his YouTube account in 2013 and gained substantial popularity in 2020 from the $100,000 Dream vs Technoblade Duel. He is commonly regarded in the Minecraft Community as one of the best PvP players.[2] As of May 2021, his main YouTube channel has reached over 7.24 million subscribers and over 836 million views. In 2020 Technoblade became a member of the DreamSMP.
Internet career
Technoblade created his Youtube account on October 28, 2013,[3] where its first upload would be on October 31, 2013,[4] later entering a rivalry with fellow YouTuber Dream.[2]. Prior to that he had an unsuccessful channel named "StudioLore."[5]
The vast majority of his early videos were compilations of hypixel gameplay. He played the games Blitz Survival Games, Skywars, Bedwars, and Skyblock among others. Eventually he started streaming, also on the platform YouTube.[6] In 2017 his channel hit the 1 million subscriber milestone and he did his famous elbow reveal.[7][8]
In 2019 Minecraft experienced a revival in popularity, and Technoblade benefited.[3] That year Technoblade aparticipated in Keemstar's minecraft event, Minecraft Mondays, where content creators would come together to play a wide variety of minegames for a monetary prize. He won four times: week one, week two, week six, and week ten. Early on he caught the attention of many for his PvP prowess. He took part with other popular YouTubers and/or streamers including CaptainSparklez, Vikkstar123, DanTDM, MrBeast, PewDiePie, James Charles, Ninja, LazarBeam and more.[9]
The Great Potato War Was A Battle To See Who Could Be #1 In Potato Farming On Hypixel's Skyblock. Techno Needed Hot Potato Books For His Armor And Had His Potato Minions Make Them, Then He Realized He Was Ranked #50 In Potatoes And Vowed To Become The #1 Potato Farmer In Skyblock.[10][11]
Technoblade has developed a friendly rivalry with Dream, another Minecraft YouTuber known for his PvP abilities. In August of 2020, they participated in a duel hosted by MrBeast. Technoblade emerged victorious, winning 6 out of 10 rounds.[12]
While a lot of his content still revolved around Hypixel gameplay, Technoblade ventured into other areas of Minecraft. He commonly interacts with the content creators Ph1Lza, Wilbur Soot, and TommyInnit in a fan-coined group named Sleepy Bois Inc.[13] He was a member of the SMPEarth server, where his faction The Antarctic Empire managed to achive world dominance.[14] He also became a reoccurring competitor in Minecraft Championships (MCC), where he holds 2 wins and the second highest coin average. [15] He is known for his skill in these events, never dropping below the Top 10 individually and in groups during the Minecrat Championships. He is currently a member of the DreamSMP.[16]
A controversy Technoblade was involved is around April 2021, was brought upon by tweets he made five to six years ago when he was still in high school. These include Jokes about Hitler, LGBTQ, and racism. Technoblade has not officially responded to the statements made on the platform of choice: Twitter. However as fans and reporters alike have pointed out Technoblade actively rejects these stances, going as far as to say to one commenter on a video of his "... your not cool or edgy, if you want to use homophobic slurs I can't stop you, but I won't accept them here".[17]
Personal life
In September 2013, the Minecraft server Hypixel posted on their forum that Technoblade has attention-deficit disorder.[2]
