AfD Nomination: 9/9/99

[edit]

I've nominated the article 9/9/99 for deletion under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that 9/9/99 satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. I have explained why in the nomination space (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/9/9/99. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them. You are free to edit the content of 9/9/99 during the discussion, but please do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top). Doing so will not end the discussion. —Wknight94 (talk) 03:12, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Nigger. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Gwernol 01:53, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Interestingly enough, they're not. OS X is based on Mach, which is based on BSD which is based on Unix. Please see Mac_OS_X#History for the sourced, accurate history, and please refrain from adding unsourced content. --slakrtalk / 03:55, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also note that using sockpuppet accounts does not exempt you from the three-revert rule. --slakrtalk / 03:59, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 06:05, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Duck, did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted by ClueBot. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you believe there has been a mistake and would like to report a false positive, please report it here and then remove this warning from your talk page. If your edit was not vandalism, please feel free to make your edit again after reporting it. Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Google, you will be blocked from editing. ¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 06:09, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. You will be blocked from editing the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to Computer. Steve Crossin (talk) 06:10, 4 March 2008 (UTC) [reply]

Hello, Jpolster2005. You have new messages at Cro0016's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

A tag has been placed on Goo inside your phone, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.
