- Question: Why are you trying to change it to a stock photo? Stock photos tend to be generic and therefore should not be used in that type of article. And what's wrong with the image that's currently there right now that makes it not allowed? ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 01:55, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
- This is indeed a false positive (due to one of the emergency filters that was enabled briefly), but File:Libpress.png seems very likely a copyvio, so I'm not sure I'm willing to action this. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she/they) 06:21, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Tamzin: You are correct, it is a copyvio. I found it on this website, and their Terms of Service doesn't appear to say that the images on the website are available to be used by anyone. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 23:22, 19 February 2022 (UTC)
- Note: While it is technically a false positive, the image is a copyvio (unless this person is the actual author or I'm misinterpreting the websites Terms of Use) so the edit won't be made. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 23:37, 19 February 2022 (UTC)

- This is an FP, probably unavoidable,
but the edit in any case is not a good one and will not be implemented.JavaHurricane 11:03, 20 February 2022 (UTC)- I was incorrect in my assessment of the edit. Please ignore my above comment about the implementation. Does seem to be an FP nonetheless. JavaHurricane 11:49, 20 February 2022 (UTC)

Not sure how to use this function and I hope I am in the right place, but, my recently-obtained (January 2022) IP address has been included in some sort of partial block concerning two articles that I never even read, let alone attempted to edit. It appears that my current IP address may exist in a wide range of IP addresses that some misguided WP editor partially blocked, merely in an attempt to block one or two offending individuals. If I am understanding this action correctly, that is an unfair and ham-fisted move if I ever saw one.
The following is a description found on the top of my current User Contribution page: "This IP address is currently partially blocked. The latest block log entry is provided below for reference: 21:58, 14 July 2021 Ohnoitsjamie talk contribs blocked 2601:543:4200::/39 talk from the pages Louis Armstrong award and Gideon Stargrave with an expiration time of 1 year (anon. only) (Long-term abuse)"
Again, I never even visited those pages and it is embarrassing to think another editor may form an negative opinion about me because of mistakes others may have committed, others who happen to have an IP address that fall within some broad IP range that would include my own. Again, this is extremely unfair to me and completely false. I realize that registration eliminates this possibility, but, that's not the point here. Nor should an action like this be alternatively used as a veiled attempt to intimidate non-registered editors into creating an account. No editor should be able to arbitrarily include a group of innocent non-registered editors into a broad IP range block, just to punish one or two individual non-registered editors who broke some WP rule(s). Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance. 2601:543:4200:73E0:5864:B375:D019:EBBC (talk) 06:30, 21 February 2022 (UTC)

- No, I am not, nor should I be, blocked. (Brought to you as another installment of "WP Registered Editors Gone Wild") 2601:543:4200:73E0:5864:B375:D019:EBBC (talk) 06:50, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
