Congratulations! I'm in the process of promoting Sentence spacing to Featured Article status. It's a very well-written article - I'm glad you tackled it. Unfortunately, I have zero idea how to classify this according to the FA categories. For now, I'm going to put this under Culture and Society. I think you have been remarkably patient - no one should be removing your regular posts from an article talk page, though you can if you want to. David Galula image

Hi. The sketch of Galula you added to the article was in it at an earlier date, but was removed because of its amateurish quality, so I've removed it again. I've looked for a photo of Galula without success, but perhaps you might have better success than I did -- so if you want to give it a try, please do! I see. If you've already tried, you've probably canvassed most of what I'd try in the time I have available. Don't you think that the photo might be the best solution for the interim? I'll admit that the lack of an image might be more of an incentive for someone to "find" a better image that is available for use. But, if it's been a while since the image was first deleted, maybe that's an indication that the sketch is the best we have for now.

Sorry, I think the image is of very poor quality, and since we can't find a photograph of him (even one that we can't use), how are we to know that it's even an accurate drawing of Galula? (It was made by a Wikipedia editor.) Having it in the article makes us look amateurish, which the lack of a photo doesn't. Beyond My Ken (talk) 03:42, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

I've got this my discussion reverted[1] and this weird legal threat[2] from 69.31.68.51. I think this is rather unusual for removing a sentence in Public opinion on climate change. I'm not sure what the statement "I can accuse in court" meant. I also didn't look into the reliability of the source that you added. The important thing is that you are right in that no one should be removing your comments on talk pages (except for some very narrow circumstances). If someone disagrees with your additions to an article (including the reliability of a source), they should discuss their reasons on a talk page, not delete your comments. I recommend that you revert your comment to reinstate it on the talk page, add a comment for others to please not delete your comments and ask users to adhere to Wikipedia's talk page guidelines. If it happens again, find an admin and show him/her the diff you noted above. It should be speedily handled. If you need help in finding an admin, let me know. Hi Airborne84, sorry I have been slow in commenting on the Sentence Spacing talk page - have been busy in real life, and I also share your weariness. I will leave a note on the FAC talk page and let others active in the process know what is going on and ask for their advice (and assistance at the page, if they feel so inclined). Will also weigh in on the talk page again. This looks like it is heading twoards an edit war and protection is an option there, but I am reluctant to protect it as 1) it is not quite at an edit war yet and 2) I am an involved editor and it is better if an univolved admin makes the decision to protect or not. Thanks Ruhrfisch. You are right in being circumspect in addressing the talk page. I think Geoffrey.landis is making good faith changes, although I also think that sweeping changes on a contentious, Featured Article should gain consensus first.

Nuujin, please continue to bring your thoughts and input to the article. This weekend I'm going to sign off of Wikipeida for a few months. Besides affecting my IRL writing projects for publication, this article is just taking too much of my time.
