Hey J, the changes to the templates caused many, many talkpages to be categorized into non-existent categories; I trust you plan to create all the necessary cats? Category:Wikipedia pages with unconfirmed permission received by OTRS

Hello, Josve05a,

There are 48 categories that have been moved into this redirect category that is supposed to be empty. The fact that a category redirect has contents is causing it, and other OTRS categories to show up in Category:Wikipedia non-empty soft redirected categories which states Wikipedia soft redirected categories should not be populated.

If you could move these 48 categories into the correct target category, Category:Wikipedia pages with unconfirmed permission received by VRT, that would be awesome. Since you JUST received the page mover right, maybe recategorizing an area of categories that has been around for a while wasn't the ideal plan to start using this advanced permission. Start slow as you are learning your way, this was not the best way to start as a page mover. Thank you for looking into this. Liz ^{Read! Talk!} 18:48, 25 March 2022 (UTC)

• There is a simple new Wikimedia Commons upload tool available for macOS users, Sunflower.

Changes later this week

• The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 29 March. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 30 March. It will be on all wikis from 31 March (calendar).
• Some wikis will be in read-only for a few minutes because of regular database maintenance. It will be performed on 29 March at 7:00 UTC (targeted wikis) and on 31 March at 7:00 UTC (targeted wikis). [1][2]

Proposed merge

I may be confused about the merge of topicons - if OTRS is merged into the one you proposed, what exactly will it do? Is it the same VRT topicon that I have my UTP?
