Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Naer Mataron, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bass (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Fan Fiction

The information may not be helpful to yourself but it could appeal to many fan girls throughout the globe. 109.152.59.225 (talk) 01:20, 3 November 2013 (UTC)

It does not matter. That kind of content is not relevant and does not have enough notability. Therfore is why that content was removed. Please read Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not. -(tJosve05a (c) 01:24, 3 November 2013 (UTC)

Talkpage template order

Hello Jonatan. I see you did a rearrangement of the templates on Talk:Austrian School using AWB. As I read WP:TPL, the warning templates go in the #4 position. (Above the Project banners.) So, my question is "Did AWB make the change?" If so, then I wonder if AWB needs a fix in this regard. What do you think? Thanks. – S. Rich (talk) 19:23, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, that seems to be wrong...you are welcom to file a bug report with the creators of AWB. smile -(tJosve05a (c) 20:05, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
So far I haven't done the report. It looks a little technical. But as I've thought about it, my guess is that AWB did not recognize the template as a warning. It is recently put into place. So maybe the AWB bot-master just needs some info about the template. I'll give the bug report a try later today. Thanks. – S. Rich (talk) 22:09, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
Well, I posted the bug report here: Wikipedia talk:AutoWikiBrowser/Bugs#AWB moving a sanctions template. Perhaps you could fill in the other parameters. Thanks. – S. Rich (talk) 03:50, 6 November 2013 (UTC)
I saw the bug report and the edit was a manual one. I cannot reproduce it. I'm using the same version of AWB and used Magioladitis' WikiProject module.
More importantly, that was a bad edit that never should have been done. Only changing whitespace, moving templates or expanding a template is against AWB rules. If you are only moving templates, this is considered trivial. I've been around here too long to know that there is a group of people who hate AWB edits and editors for this vary reason. I've also seen editors get banned from using AWB and banned from Wikipedia for doing bad AWB edits. Just be careful and avoid trivial edits. From experience, you do not want this kind of trouble. Bgwhite (talk) 04:19, 6 November 2013 (UTC)
All in all this is not a big deal. I switched to a MacBook Pro some months ago and AWB wont work for me. So I'm leaving it be. On to better and happier edits!! – S. Rich (talk) 04:24, 6 November 2013 (UTC)

Operating a bot

Hi Josve05a. Thank for your great feedback in back reports in AWB. I noticed your 6 requests for operating a bot. Now they are only 2 open. Since I appreciate your effort to help, I would like to give you some advice. I think it is better you wait a bit so that you get more experienced before getting a bot approval. Owning a bot usually means a lot of bug reports, complains, etc. Judging by your responses so far I think you need to get more familiar with the automated tools. I and other are here to help and cooperate. Also judging by your reports on AWB this is something we really need. We need a person that will use the tool, supervise their edits and report bugs if any. We need people like you who visit many pages and get ideas of what it could be done. Think about it! Happy editing! -- Magioladitis (talk) 09:00, 8 November 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for your great advise. (Just so you know, I am already running a bot on sv.wikipedia.org.) -(tJosve05a (c) 09:05, 8 November 2013 (UTC)

Odd edit

Hi, I don't understand what has happened here. Can you explain it? - Sitush (talk) 14:32, 10 November 2013 (UTC)

There was a "hidden/invincible" unicode character in that article, wich could cause errors to some browsers/platforms. See the CHECKWIKI-database for more information and articles that is curently known to have these kinds of characters. -(tJosve05a (c) 14:38, 10 November 2013 (UTC)
Ah, that explains why nothing seems to have changed. Very odd! - Sitush (talk) 14:50, 10 November 2013 (UTC)

Your recent bot approvals request has been approved. Please see the request page for details. When the bot flag is set it will show up in this log. Josh Parris 08:47, 11 November 2013 (UTC)

Orphan tagging species

Hello Josve05a, thank you for taking the time for checking newly created pages and tagging. However, could you not tag species pages if they are linked to the genus page? They have a special status, please see: WP:TAXONORPHAN. Cheers! Ruigeroeland (talk) 07:38, 13 November 2013 (UTC)

I have now turned on restriction on the program that I am using to edit the pages. Thanks! -(tJosve05a (c) 16:37, 14 November 2013 (UTC)

Icelandic letters

Hi, Josvebot recently made the following edit[1]. The correct transliteration of the Icelandic letters Ðð and Þþ should be to Dd and Th or th respectively. Cheers, --StyleBoyle (talk) 11:15, 13 November 2013 (UTC)

Thank you. I will remember that. -(tJosve05a (c) 16:37, 14 November 2013 (UTC)

Orphan tags

Hello. For future reference. Please do not put orphan tags on articles on organisms as you did at Ocypode brevicornis. Please see WP:TAXONORPHAN. Because of their very nature, they can not usually be widely linked, but are nonetheless notable.

I would also recommend you add an orphaned article (with the exception of organisms) to other related articles when you can, instead of simply tagging them. The orphan tag is a big ugly template that is more or less completely useless. It pulls attention to a very simple internal problem that the reader should not be inconvenienced with. If you can fix it, fix it. Don't tag when it does not help improve the page. Cheers.-- OBSIDIANSOUL 01:06, 14 November 2013 (UTC)

checkwiki errors and WPCleaner

Do you have an idea who is marking articles fixed in Checkwiki when they are not. For example, the list shows three articles as done, but they clearly are not fixed. Bgwhite (talk) 02:14, 23 November 2013 (UTC)

{u|Bgwhite}} No I do not. But if you click "List for bots" the article will be shown.-(tJosve05a (c) 10:53, 23 November 2013 (UTC)

Defaultsort

According to what I see, it was not AWB that added DEFAULTSORT in Ringpullworld. Am I wrong? (btw, I started fixing one of your bug reports). -- Magioladitis (talk) 00:39, 24 November 2013 (UTC)

No, AWB just moved it. -(tJosve05a (c) 00:41, 24 November 2013 (UTC)

Auto-edit

Not very sure what the point of this edit was. Is there something wrong with your settings? Cheers, Number 57 21:22, 26 November 2013 (UTC)

I was trying out a JavaScript to see how it worked. I also save the edit to see if it accually worked properly since I've mixed with my other settings. -(tJosve05a (c) 21:52, 26 November 2013 (UTC)

Korean names & DEFAULTSORT

Just a quick heads-up: in names of Korean people, if you're not sure about the ordering, a quick rule of thumb is that "Kim" (along with "Lee" and "Park") is always a surname, while the portion of the name with a hyphen is almost always a given name. Thanks for your work patrolling & cleaning up new articles. quant18 (talk) 10:17, 28 November 2013 (UTC)

Thanks. I did not know this! I will watch out from now on. -(tJosve05a (c) 10:18, 28 November 2013 (UTC)
