Ranchos of California infobox suggested

I believe the individual articles for the ranchos found in the List of ranchos of California would benefit from an infobox. Suggested contents are readily available from the list itself:

  • Map / illustration
  • Grant name
  • Date
  • Grantor
  • Grantee
  • Size
  • Land case number
  • Location (city, county)
  • Coordinates (center of grant?)

It would take considerable work to propagate such an infobox, but perhaps someone could write a script. Thoughts? — btphelps (talk to me) (what I've done) 01:09, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

L'Ermitage Beverly Hills: Request for review

Hello! Last month I posted a request to the L'Ermitage Beverly Hills article talk page asking anyone active there to review my proposed revisions to the History section. (The current material is largely unsourced and includes a lot of details that I have been unable to verify.) My request can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:L%27Ermitage_Beverly_Hills

I'm an employee of EOS, the company managing L'Ermitage, and thus have a clear COI. As such, I'm reaching out to experienced editors to review my draft. Hoping someone here can help, or at least steer me in the right direction. Thanks! Mcg2132 (talk) 14:27, 17 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Munger Hall, UC Santa Barbara

I created a draft for Munger Hall, a proposed dormitory at UC Santa Barbara. Its been in the news as it will house 4,500 students and 94% of the rooms will have no windows. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Thriley (talk) 17:30, 3 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

User script to detect unreliable sources

I have (with the help of others) made a small user script to detect and highlight various links to unreliable sources and predatory journals. Some of you may already be familiar with it, given it is currently the 39th most imported script on Wikipedia. The idea is that it takes something like

  • John Smith "Article of things" Deprecated.com. Accessed 2020-02-14. (John Smith "[https://www.deprecated.com/article Article of things]" ''Deprecated.com''. Accessed 2020-02-14.)

and turns it into something like

It will work on a variety of links, including those from {{cite web}}, {{cite journal}} and {{doi}}.

The script is mostly based on WP:RSPSOURCES, WP:NPPSG and WP:CITEWATCH and a good dose of common sense. I'm always expanding coverage and tweaking the script's logic, so general feedback and suggestions to expand coverage to other unreliable sources are always welcomed.

Do note that this is not a script to be mindlessly used, and several caveats apply. Details and instructions are available at User:Headbomb/unreliable. Questions, comments and requests can be made at User talk:Headbomb/unreliable.

LH Research Inc.: Request for review

Hello! I posted a re-request for reviewing an article on Draft:LH_Research. The main critic was: not enough Notability. I improved upon the article, and added sources (e.g. to a Smithsonian collection about the company and many links to scientific articles about the company and its developments). The first reviewer states, that he does 'only' one-time revies... so this article is back to AFC. Geoman3 (talk) 08:14, 12 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Evernote: Company section updates

Hey there! I'm Greg, an employee at the California-based software company Evernote. I'm trying to get some help updating the company's article. A colleague of mine, User:Evernotebrian, assembled a new draft for the article's Company section. It covers some recent company history that isn't included in the current version of the Evernote article and backs up some of the existing content with better sourcing. You can view his draft at this link. I'll also provide an additional link to Brian's edit request on the Evernote Talk page. You can see my COI disclosure and follow-up note right below his post. We were also hoping to get the Company header changed to History, because we feel that's a more accurate description of what the section contains, but if an editor from this WikiProject could at least take a look at the new section draft, that would be a great start. Thanks very much for your time. Evernote Greg (talk) 16:15, 24 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

LendingClub History request help

Hello! I'm dropping by to see if an editor might have an interest in helping me with an edit request for the LendingClub page. As an LC employee I can't edit the company page directly but instead must rely on other volunteers to review my requests. I didn’t have much luck at WP Finance and investment, so I thought here might be a good place to go next.

As you can see on the LendingClub Talk page, I've put together a revised and updated version of the article's History section, which doesn't currently have much information on the past couple years of company activity. For ease of reference, I’ve also posted a revised History draft on my user page if editors find that easier to review.

Any feedback editors might be willing to give would be great. Thanks! EFlynn at LendingClub (talk) 18:46, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
