Crichy Crich

Good day! Can you please elaborate on why you deleted "Crichy Crich"? --Jax 0677 (talk) 22:51, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Jax 0677: Hi, the consensus at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2023 May 16#Crichy Crich was pretty straight-forward. You stated that the redirect was warranted because Crichy Crich performed on "Army to Your Party", and three others felt differently. What is the issue with the closure exactly? plicit 03:37, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Jax 0677: I could have not have possibly reached the conclusion to close the discussion as "redirect to Crich (disambiguation)" based on the discussion. This was never an option provided by any of the participants. plicit 23:28, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Syrian Air destinations

Hi @Explicit, couldn't you just re-open the discussion and I'll tag List of XiamenAir destinations? Seems very WP:BURO to go through another AFD when there's already a very clear consensus against this article and the only thing that was missing was the template. FOARP (talk) 16:09, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@FOARP: Well, no, because knowing DRV, the page would have been overturned at DRV for the very reason of not being tagged for deletion. I've seen it far too often to go down that path. The point is moot, though. The result of the AFD is under review, so List of XiamenAir destinations may as well be nominated separately now. plicit 23:37, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. Yeah, everything get DRV’ed nowadays apparently. FOARP (talk) 04:56, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
PS - Cunard redirected the XiamenAir list of destinations so no need for anything. FOARP (talk) 08:59, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@FOARP: Thanks for the heads up. Since there is some content in the "Destinations" section, this seems like an okay alternative. plicit 10:07, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, you deleted this file, stating that it was available on Commons. However, it was deleted there, too, so now the image is gone from the article. I'm no too familiar with files moving to/from Commons and hope you can fix this. Thanks! --Randykitty (talk) 07:47, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Randykitty: Hi, thanks for letting me know about this. I'll contact the deleting administrator there and hope to get the file restored soon. plicit 10:47, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move at Talk:Ayase (music producer)

This is a weird situation. There was a requested move open, attempting to move the article from Ayase (producer) to its current title; I requested a history merge here during the RM, which I think you performed, as the RM opener got blocked as a suspected sock by you and you deleted and recreated the (producer) article.

My question here is what should be done about the RM. I don't know if you intended to close it as moved, or what, but the article is now at the proposed title from the RM. With the discussion also being started by a sock, I'm totally lost as to how to close this discussion. Skarmory (talk • contribs) 03:50, 31 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Skarmory: The sock's actions leading up to the move request don't make much sense either. The article was originally at Ayase (producer), which they moved to Ayase (music producer). Then, they redirected Ayase (music producer) to Ayase (producer) after performing a cut-and-paste move. The move request was made after that, seemingly to have the original history of the article deleted in favor of their own creation. Closing the discussion at moot would probably suffice, to be honest. plicit 04:04, 31 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like they requested the move, then moved the article in the middle of the RM, then tried to revert it with a cut-and-paste move... which still doesn't make much sense. I'll procedurally close it, there's a bunch of nonsense going on here that's not worth figuring out over starting a new RM if anyone has issues. File:Emilia Fester.jpg

Hi Explicit. Would you mind taking a look at File:Emilia Fester.jpg. If I remember correctly, it's the same as File:Emilia Fester official.jpg which you deleted on May 14, 2023, per F7. The uploader is different so it could just be a coincidence, but not sure. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:43, 2 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Marchjuly: Hi, you're correct. It's the same image uploaded by a different user. plicit 06:45, 2 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for checking. It's likely going to end up deleted again in a few days so it probably doesn't matter who uploaded it I guess. -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:53, 2 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please let me have a look at this deleted page and its history? I seem to have created it, presumably for good reason at the time. I've now made hatnotes at Ambrose Madden and Ambrose O'Madden and fixed a link from Bishop_of_Kilmacduagh#Roman_Catholic_succession but would like to see what happened. As there was only a minute between the CSD notice on my talk page and its disapearance (OK, that's how "Speedy" works!), I didn't get a chance to have a look into it. Thanks. PamD 15:04, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@PamD: There were three entries on the page, which were deleted by PROD: Ambrose Madden (chief), Ambrose Madden (II), and Ambrose Madden (III). plicit 15:11, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks: non-notable Irish chiefs I suppose. Happy to leave it at that. PamD 16:38, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, you closed List of American Thomas & Friends video releases as delete, however the article is still a live article. Could you delete it please? Heart (talk) 13:05, 5 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@HeartGlow30797: Hi, I am unable to delete the page because it has over 5,000 revisions. This requires deletion by a steward. I have made a request for deletion over at Meta. plicit 13:11, 5 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, okay, thanks. Heart (talk) 13:13, 5 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Man

Explicit, I was deleting those categories. Why did you butt in and take things over? You do this all of the time. It's unbelievably aggravating to be working on a project and have another editor swoop in and take over. You can't let me just work on something without inserting yourself into the process. You're the "Deleteion King" isn't that enough? Maddening. Liz Read! Talk! 04:04, 6 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Liz: Something tells me you're upset. plicit 04:41, 6 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Convention relating to the International Status of Refugees

I just did a little clean-up of the lede to Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees. I noticed that in the next section "History" there is a broken link Convention relating to the International Status of Refugees - a page which you apparently deleted as a "Redirect to deleted page." This relates to a 1933 League of Nations treaty (defunct) and archived by the UN here:

And, cited by the International Committee of the Red Cross here:

I searched on WP for "Convention on International Status of Refugees" but found nothing...

I know that the League of Nations is long dead, but I feel that there should be a page discussing this League of Nations treaty, which is a precursor of the UN one.

Whatever happened to Convention relating to the International Status of Refugees or, rather, whatever page it apparenly redirected to?

I am an inclusionist and feel that whatever was there should be accessible as a critical part of the historical web of knowledge on the matter of refugees - a hot topic as the issue of climate refugees is coming to the fore.

Comments or suggestions?

Enquire (talk) 02:36, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Enquire: Hi, the target page was Convention Relating to the International Status of Refugees, which was deleted in accordance with WP:CSD#G5 as a page created by Armduino, a sockpuppet of a blocked user. Any user is free to recreate the page if they see it fit. plicit 03:40, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Iran Aseman Airlines Destinations

Dear user, I wanted to ask you on the reasoning behind you deleting the page of List of Iran Aseman Airlines destinations which occured on May 26th. The page was a very helpful resource regarding the destinations of the airline and used valid citations. I was curious on why this page was deleted and I would appreciate if you could clarify that please. Thank you. Chopin2423 (talk) 04:57, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Chopin2423: Hi, as the deletion summary states, this page was deleted as a result of the deletion discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Iran Aseman Airlines destinations. It was part of a larger effort to have similar articles deleted (see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Syrian Air destinations and the review that upheld these deletions). plicit 07:16, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your response and your explanation. It makes a lot more sense now. Chopin2423 (talk) 22:29, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request

When you delete one of my drafts, can you please leave a note of it on my talk page. I follow a lot of pages, so I might not always notice if one of my drafts has been deleted. 𝕱𝖎𝖈𝖆𝖎𝖆 (talk) 06:12, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
