Ummmmm

Per this: [[1]]

I stand corrected.

Per me.... in the future, asking really works better for me. You are an admin, so you can back up your "orders" with punitive actions.... and personally I really respect the opinions of admins.

Feel free to do as you will, and I would prefer that you ask me as opposed to order, command etc.

The outward results will be the same, I will probably comply. The inner results will be two very different worlds. Sethie (talk) 03:07, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Have you heard anything further about this unblock request? I'm inclined to just go ahead and grant it: innocent users can get caught in collateral damage and we've asked the guy to jump through enough hoops already. Mangojuicetalk 14:39, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

  • No I have not heard further and have just submitted a request to subscribe to the unblock-en mailing list. There is a good chance he is innocent however I believe that it would be best if we can be 100% sure...considering that he mentions those three other names were created as a class project. It would solidify his complete innocence if we manage to get the professor himself to verify those three accounts were created as a class project. If those accounts are cleared then his is as well. But if anyone else feels enough evidence has been presented and think an unblock is warranted, I hold no objections to granting it. Could you check your inbox by the way?¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 18:59, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi, we've obviously both been monitoring this "user" here. I don't think his request is to be granted, isn't it? --PaterMcFly (talk) 20:17, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

Uh... That was quick. Yours, PaterMcFly (talk) 20:22, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

Sportsbook.com talk page got deleted

Hi there Persian Poet Gal! Not long ago, there was an edit war going on over at Sportsbook.com, and a couple of vandals moved the page and its talk page to various junk article names, like

DRAGNET.TV

Sportsbook.c0m

Sp0rtsb00k.c0m

and so forth (there may have been more junk article moves - I lost count). I notice that you moved the article back and deleted some of the junk pages (thanks!). However, it appears that the vandals also moved Talk:Sportsbook.com to one of the junk pages, but I'm not sure where they moved it. Somehow during all of the vandal moves/restores, the talk page got deleted. Is there any way to undelete it? Thanks! SmartGuy (talk) 23:52, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Sweet! Thanks so much! Was weird...I went to the talk page that was once full of wonderful Wiki-arguing and it was gone :-( Thanks. SmartGuy (talk) 18:44, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks re: Wisconsin Union

Thanks for all your help in stopping that POV-pusher from attacking the Hoofer Sailing Club, Memorial Union_(Wisconsin), and Lake Mendota pages! Bugsmasher (talk) 20:26, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

Sheikh Ahmad-e Jami

Hey, quick request; if you speak Farsi would you be able to translate the bit of poetry given in this article into english? The creator of the article does, but his english isn't too good, and i'd prefer to get it with the meaning left intact. Thanks! Ironholds 16:53, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

Re: short on time

That's fine, there's no hurry. If someone else offers to nominate me before you do, depending on who it is, I may accept their nomination. If not, and you still want to when you have more time, you can let me know when you're ready. Cheers! J.delanoygabsadds 16:47, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

WikiProject Games

Hey, I was wondering if you could make me an ad? If you want to, I'll tell you the details. Thanks. BW21.--BlackWatch21 23:02, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

Hey there, PPG, writing to you from my new(ish) account. When looking back over something I did a little work on a long time ago (Preap Sovath I noticed that my then-IP had caused some problems sometime after that. That IP was a shared work computer (and I'm the only native-speaker there), so I was wondering if you could tell me what the comments were that led to your comment on User talk:203.144.75.13? I'd kinda like to know what someone did or said. I realise I could probably go find them, but I'm a little lazy and a little pushed for time, cheers KhProd1 (talk) 06:57, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Interesting. Five minutes later (not that long really) and I think I've found it. The same warning you gave User:203.144.75.13 you also gave to User:Natan who'd been having fun linking his own website to The Temple of Solomon as a source.KhProd1 (talk) 07:08, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Audio request

Hi Poet Gal, a while back you made this audio . Recently the Michael Jackson article became featured, would you be open to making a recorded version? You have a neutral, soft voice that I think is very appropriate for this article. It would be a really nice feature to the article. I hope you will be interested, thank you. :-) — Realist2 (Speak) 22:12, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
