Childhood in New York

The article says he was born in Peekskill, will this might be true if he was delivered in a hospital, his childhood home was in the close by hamlet of Verplanck. https://nypost.com/2000/03/02/small-town-big-uproar-film-gives-community-plenty-to-mona-about/ The house is located on Highland Avenue. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hogler (talkcontribs) 20:51, 25 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Braveheart

It was Edward III, not Edward I. 2601:404:D701:47A0:59E8:F6CD:B145:FE55 (talk) 19:17, 19 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No, it was Edward I. See Cultural depictions of Edward I of England, which contains mention of Patrick McGoohan playing him in Braveheart. -- Jack of Oz [pleasantries] 00:02, 20 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

In the sentence - The 'good Jews' look like Italian movie stars (Magdalene actually is an Italian movie star, the lovely Monica Bellucci); Mary, who would have been around 50 and appeared 70, could pass for a ripe 35."[102]" - "the lovely" should be removed from "the lovely Monica Bellucci" and replaced with generic "the actress Monica Bellucci" as 'the lovely' implies multiple things that cannot be substantiated SocialInteractions (talk) 03:56, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: While such a characterization by the article would be unencyclopedic, this is a direct quote of from a review of movie and thus is presented unaltered as the opinion of that author. GiovanniSidwell (talk) 05:24, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ok thanks for explaining that to me. sometimes I have to read a sentence 15 times to get it to click due to TBIs. Thanks again SocialInteractions (talk) 20:29, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Future projects

What's up with this section? It really doesn't make much sense to have content that is now several years outdated and will probably never come to fruition under the heading "Future Projects" since whatever is added to this may be relevant at the time but quickly passé once that time has passed. It constantly needs to be updated and checked. Half these projects never happened and are no longer "future". Are they now: "unrealized projects"? Why bother? "Beserker" is considered dead in the water (2021). Warner Bros. shelved the Maccabees script (2012). The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection is already shot and ready for release in 2024 (this needs to be removed). "Destroyer" stopped cold in 2018. 2005 "Sam and George" was cancelled so I don't know why it's even in this section. Maineartists (talk) 21:49, 24 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

i removed/merged that section. but imo the "film work" section still has to be integrated into the career section -- FMSky (talk) 08:40, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Whoever wrote this needs to include "We Were Soldiers Once...And Young" to Mel Gibson's film credits 71.31.254.148 (talk) 01:05, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The film version of We_Were_Soldiers_Once…_and_Young is We_Were_Soldiers which is already in the article RudolfRed (talk) 03:02, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
