Whenever I speak to people with great pride about being a Wikipedia Editor, to either a layperson in my local chippy or a media person, or a creative or academic etc, they pretty much all say the same thing.
1 Wikipedia — yeah right! If it’s on Wikipedia it must be true.
2 Anyone can edit Wikipedia!
It really bursts my bubble! I of course defend Wikipedia’s sourced, neutral and pluralistic perspectives way of presenting information.
I just think more people should be made aware of the method as well as the fact it’s free.
