Triggernometry (sometimes styled TRIGGERnometry) is a political commentary new media brand with a YouTube channel and podcast[3] set up in 2018[4] by British comedians Konstantin Kisin and Francis Foster.[5][6] The channel has over 640k subscribers on YouTube, 140k followers on Twitter,[7] and 100k followers on Facebook[8] as of October 2023, as well as running a community for subscribers on Locals.[9]

Format

The primary format of the channel is pre-recorded interviews with a wide range of people, following the channel's brand line of "honest conversations with fascinating people",[10] and has been described as "anti-woke" by The Times.[11] Guests have included Jordan Peterson, Sam Harris,[12] Douglas Murray, Andrew Doyle, Peter Hitchens, Mark Blyth, Andrew Adonis, Diana Fleischman, Scott Adams, Nicholas Gruen, Laurence Fox, Carl Benjamin, Melanie Phillips, Rod Liddle, John Curtice, Matthew Goodwin and Helen Dale.[13]

The channel's 2023 interview with Neil deGrasse Tyson on the subject of "Have We Lost Trust in Science?"[14] was widely reported upon, both by other YouTube channels, as well as in the mainstream media, because of Tyson's statements about transgender rights.[15][16][17][18][19]

In addition to the interview shows, they also produce twice-weekly Triggernometry RAW episodes which are delivered to camera by the two hosts, and are more comedic in style, with audience interaction.

Appearance on other shows

Triggernometry did an American 'roadtrip', which including appearing on the Joe Rogan Experience, on which they discussed with Joe Rogan about the restrictive nature of the British comedy scene.[20]

Reception

The podcast was named on the "best 20 escapist podcasts" in the Daily Telegraph in 2020.[21]

The business which runs the channel was subject to "debanking" by UK finance company Tide in 2023, when the bank withdrew banking services despite being in credit.[22][23]

Foster has described identity politics as a “toxic ideology” which is “affecting young people’s mental health”.[24]

Kisin has claimed “both Francis Foster [...] and I are hate figures in the world of comedy".[25]

Representation

In 2021, Triggernometry took on new agents at Blue Book Artist Management.[26]
