You are receiving this as you have recently added an interwiki link to a page!

Wikidata has been deployed to the English Wikipedia. Wikidata manages interwiki links on a separate project on pages such as this. This means that on Wikipedia articles there is now a language bar on the left hand side of your screen where you can edit and add links rather than adding them into the articles themselves.

If you have any questions regarding Wikidata please use the talk page Wikipedia talk:Wikidata.

June 2013

[edit]

Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Category:Hotels in Dubai with this edit without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, Jim1138 (talk) 16:07, 3 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Unexplained deletion of content

[edit]

I undid several of your edits as you did not explain why you did, nor did the deletion make sense to me. Please remember to leave an wp:edit summary so that others can understand your intent. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 16:32, 3 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

They all replaced by wikidata, I already added them in.
AND please check your change about Caja Madrid(the data is conflicted with that of Bankia) and Torre Caja Madrid (I don't think I have to give a brief about this).
Is that your policy to revert any change withoout explaining why (then you should revert most of wikipedia's change)? ALL of those except Caja Madrid are obvious meaningful, don't you think that's too arbitrary?--淺藍雪 (talk) 16:34, 3 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That means everyone could revert those change without explaining why? Don't response me with bureaucratese, I just want to know if you sure every your change are right. OR maybe you don;t have to answer this question beacause I did some unexplained change?--淺藍雪 (talk) 16:54, 3 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Please be considerate of others and leave an wp:edit summary explaining your reasoning behind changes. If it does not make sense to me why you do something, I will undo it. I undid my deletion to Leaf miner as the interlanguage link did not show up. After chasing it down, I see why. A good reason to add an edit summery! Category:Hotels in Dubai either because the links hadn't shown up yet or because you seemed to be deleting them without cause. Anyone can undo your edits, yes.
Please keep the conversation on one page. You can put a {{talkback|User talk:淺藍雪}} to let the other know you have responded. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 17:18, 3 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The Violence of Gender

[edit]

About The Violence of Gender, the exhibition itself ran from February 16 to April 28 https://www.scmp.com/lifestyle/arts-culture/article/2186762/hong-kong-exhibition-taps-effects-violence-and-gender-using - That's more than one day. I'll modify the article. WhisperToMe (talk) 15:52, 9 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

As an FYI The Violence of Gender has been kept on ENwiki. In light of that I would like for the Zhwiki speedy deletion to be revisited. WhisperToMe (talk) 23:25, 17 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sock question

[edit]

Hi. If I understand the machine translations of Chinese to English, you blocked 존중합시다 리스펙! as a sock of 백돌. I've been looking through the many socks of this master, and I haven't found any that behaviorally match what this new user is doing at en.wiki. Have I misinterpreted or missed something? Thanks for your help.--Bbb23 (talk) 12:34, 13 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Bbb23:존중합시다 리스펙! was reported on 29 Sep 2021 to our VIP section and he was blocked for that reason. I did not check his trans-wiki behavior at the time, apologies for that. As the initial reporter, @Pavlov2: might know it better? To avoid wrong ban, I have him unblocked for now, see if there is better evidence.--淺藍雪 06:11, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for looking into it, but I don't understand the procedure. What do you mean by "our VIP section" and "that reason"? As far as I can tell, the user made only one edit at zh.wiki. Although I don't understand what that one edit was, why would he be reported for that?--Bbb23 (talk) 13:28, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
WP:VIP, he was reported because Pavlov2 believed his behavior shared high similarity with 백돌.--淺藍雪 03:43, 15 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I didn't know VIP existed as a redirect for WP:AIV. Pavlov2 supposedly retired from editing here at en.wiki. Apparently, they still edit at zh.wiki. I am at a loss to understand what Pavlov2 saw in the one edit (that I can see) at zh.wiki that made them think they were a sock. Good that you unblocked him.--Bbb23 (talk) 13:17, 15 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've informed him on Chinese Wikipedia, but he has not yet replied.--淺藍雪 03:02, 18 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I replied him by email several days ago, thanks for mention. Pavlov2 (talk) 03:12, 4 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
