Stop adding unsourced allegations of people having illegitimate children

[edit]

Stop adding unsourced allegations of people having illegitimate children to Wikipedia, as you did here. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Softlavender (talk) 12:36, 15 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon Your edits indicate that you are editing while logged out and while logged in. Do not use IP addresses to push your agenda, as you did here, here, here, and here. Concerning ip addresses. I have not made use of fake ip addresses to do any updating of any wikipedia pages. I have resided on a different Country where I had a different service provider. I also have no agenda whatsoever.

J, you need to always log in when you post. If you persist in editing while logged out, you will be blocked for sockpuppetry and abuse of multiple accounts. Softlavender (talk) 02:31, 16 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

SoftLavender I am currently doing as you tell me. I don't know what security procedures my isp makes use of for my account should you not be able to pick up these details Jccoelho99 (talk) 02:39, 16 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You edited while logged out here, and. Do not do that anymore, or your account may be blocked. Is that clear? Softlavender (talk) 04:27, 16 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I never noticed I did those edits while logged out. Thanks in pointing that out for me Jccoelho99 (talk) 04:46, 16 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Original Research

[edit]

Jccoelho99, please carefully read the Wikipedia policy against Original Research. What you are doing does NOT belong on Wikipedia, and it is expressly forbidden by Wikipedia policy. Seek some other format if you desire to make public your opinions/research/findings. Do not post original research on Wikipedia. Thank you. Softlavender (talk) 02:40, 16 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Softlavender I understand what you are posting. I shall research from now on as to what publications I should be addressing or inquiring about concerning my opinions/research findings. I'll come back to Wikipedia once I can provide the sort of references you seem to require. Thank you for explaining your policies Jccoelho99 (talk) 02:46, 16 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Jccoelho99, I still don't think you understand. You cannot do any kind of synthesis, even of published sources, on Wikipedia. You cannot make inferences from one source and apply it to another source and post that synthesis onto Wikipedia, You cannot draw a conclusion, even from cited sources, and post that on Wikipedia. You cannot post your own research on Wikipedia. None of what you are intending to or attempting to post on Wikipedia is appropriate for or allowed on Wikipedia. If you persist in trying to post these "opinions" or "research" on Wikipedia, administrative action will be brought against you and you may be blocked from editing. Softlavender (talk) 04:24, 16 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate that you enjoy using Wikipedia, please note that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a place for blogging or promotion. So please do not try to use Wikipedia to promote yourself or your family, band, product, or company. The subjects of our articles have to meet certain notability requirements and be written from a neutral point of view. Off-topic material may be deleted at any time, even if it's on your user page. We're sorry if this message has discouraged you from editing here, but the ultimate goal of this website is to build an encyclopedia. Thank you. Softlavender (talk) 04:40, 18 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Softlavender while I may be making the impression you're referring to I am not trying to promote myself in any way. I'm simply practising your markup in my user pages so I can get to either translating content with appropriate dedication or adding sections to pages where I have citations or merely helping the page owners.
That's not true, Jccoelho99. I invite you to read WP:NOTWEBHOST. I am giving you this opportunity to read that information and delete the material yourself, before I report you to adminstraters as not being here to build an encyclopedia and also requesting that the material be deleted by administrators. I do not recommend that you wait for that, because you have already shown that your main activity here is to post inappropriate, irrelevant, and unsubstantiated material about your so-called ancestors, and therefore your Wikipedia account may end up being blocked as well. I hope you will make the right decision. Sincerely, Softlavender (talk) 05:03, 18 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Auguste Balsan

[edit]

The article Auguste Balsan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Blank

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Control copyright icon Hello Jccoelho99. All or some of your addition(s) to Draft:The meeting of Heliopolis has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 01:22, 7 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for all the pointers Diannaa I'm not very familiar with encyclopaedia articles but would love to get credit for at least this one. Specially since the subject quite interests me. I'd just like to ask if I can keep editing the article in place or if I should start from scratch and make a new submission altogether. I'll be working on my paraphrasing. [edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Willoughby (surname), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Henry Willoughby (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Thank you. Jccoelho99 (talk)
