Redirects to Kim Jong Il

Joke redirects. 121.202.195.232 (talk) 04:47, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Louis van Beethoven

Seems only to refer to simple:Louis van Beethoven (2020 movie), not to the composer himself. - CHAMPION (talk) (contributions) (logs) 02:11, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. Used in French-language sources (example), seems like a reasonable redirect. Nikkimaria (talk) 02:26, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep – valid alternative variant per above. Why would they have a movie about the composer with the variant "Louis" if it wasn't used?? Aza24 (talk) 04:55, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per above. Thryduulf (talk) 13:02, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Nikkimaria --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:42, 16 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Maybe it should be a DAB page like de:Louis van Beethoven. While we often prefer to have the broader meaning as the primary topic if the redirect is dubious it may be better to just have a DAB. Crouch, Swale (talk) 18:10, 16 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Penny pincher

Propose retarget to frugality as that is closer given to the definition at wiktionary:penny pincher. - CHAMPION (talk) (contributions) (logs) 00:42, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. I don't agree: a miser "is a person who is reluctant to spend money"; frugality is "the quality of being frugal, sparing, thrifty, prudent, or economical in the consumption of resources such as food, time or money, and avoiding waste, lavishness or extravagance", i.e. with money or other things. Fast and Loose (upcoming film)

Not mentioned in the target article, leaving it unclear why a reader would be redirected to the target when searching the term. Steel1943 (talk) 23:35, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment. This is mentioned in the target article - it's the final sentence in the "Upcoming projects" section (it uses "&" rather than "and", which might be why the nominator missed it?), although whether it is still an "upcoming" film is debatable (it's been on the back-burner since April 2022) but it hasn't been cancelled. If that were the end of the story I'd be saying "keep", but David Leitch will almost certainly not be directing it (he stepped away from the project before it was shelved). There is also a similar amount of content at both Westbrook (company)#Filmography and List of STX Entertainment films#In development, which would both make good targets if they were the only one. I'm wondering if it might be better to convert the Fast and Loose disambiguation page to a set index and summarise the information there? Thryduulf (talk) 01:32, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete The pageviews are virtually nonexistent at this point. If the project is resurrected in the future, the redirect can be just recreated. InfiniteNexus (talk) 04:14, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Collegeville, Minnesosta

Found this redirect completely by accident while editing a page that links to Collegeville, Minnesota. The redirect's name contains an implausible typo with "Minnesosta" (leading to a daily average of 0.16 pageviews since tracking began in July 2015) but was created too long ago to meet WP:CSD#R3. Additionally, Collegeville, Minnesota exists as a separate article from that of Collegeville Township, so even if the typo wasn't implausible I don't think the redirect really makes sense. Delete per unlikely misspelling of Minnesota, and because it redirects to the wrong title. —Lights and freedom (talk ~ contribs) 03:43, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
