Requested move

The result of the proposal was not moved. The English title appears obscure at present.--rgpk (comment) 17:47, 3 February 2011 (UTC) Aaranya KaandamAnima and Persona — Per the guidelines explained at WP:NCF, we should be using the English-language title of the film. It was screened under this English-language title at the South Asian International Film Festival[1]. BOVINEBOY2008 12:08, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support. It was indeed screened under this English name, and won Grand Jury Award for Best Film [2]. So I'd regard this as uncontroversial, and was about to move it when I noted the previous moves [3] [4]. As User:Johannes003 has had ample time to comment here and has not, and has been active editing just today, I'm uncertain whether or not to relist this move to allow further discussion. • Oppose. Sorry, wasn't aware about this discussion, until now. Yes, it was screened under that name at that festival, only at that festival, they chose an English title just for that one festival. I can assure you this is a Tamil film, which will have a theatrical release in Tamil Nadu only and won't have an international release, it was just screened once at that festival. It will be known only as Aaranya Kaandam, no one is or will be referring to this film as Anima and Persona, after this festival. It makes no sense to move this page, since nobody is aware of that title, except for those few people who watched it at the festival. It has a wide release in Tamil Nadu only in Tamil language only under the Tamil title Aaranya Kaandam only, so why and for whom should this page be moved to some unknown English name?
