Election Results

[edit]

Paul Erik Can you point me to where these are standard? I looked at

and I saw 4 MLAs, including this one, who had it suggesting it overwhelmingly is not the standard at least for New Brunswick MLAs. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 03:56, 25 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Huh. Maybe it is different across different jurisdictions. I have seen these for most Ontario politicians such as Kathleen Wynne#Electoral record, and most federal politicians such as Carolyn Bennett#Electoral record. Perhaps this is worth bringing up at the Wikipedia talk:Canadian Wikipedians' notice board. I had also noticed it at Brian Gallant#Electoral record. You're correct that it's more common in Ontario. I only checked the 76 MLA of the Progressive Party and 38 had them so exactly half. I'm not sure that this is a hill worth dying on for me and I might have exhausted all of the effort I'm willing to expend on the topic, but will note that at least at some level these are not standard and I would argue that having multiple elections worth of these tables adds both to the byte and scrolling length of the articles where the information could be summarized in text and/or linked for the interested reader effectively. And as a small note, I would suggest your revert of my good faith effort was not necessary. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 04:55, 25 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
