Oil

[edit]

Is this where Brazilian Rosewood Oil comes from? 89.240.28.80 (talk) 15:31, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

good question, i dont think this species could be the one where the oil comes from. there is an essential oil, an oil for sealing exterior wood construction, such as decks. I have such a deck, made of "brazilian redwood", and the rosewood oil i will use to seal it cant be from this tree, as harvesting is illegal. so i am not sure what the source is of this product.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 16:40, 15 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It's an unrelated plant, Aniba. Still somewhat protected. --jpgordon::==( o ) 02:57, 27 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
