There should probably be an edit to this article explaining that some types of hooks require a sharp pull on the rod to set the hooks (i.e. Aberdeen,) and in others the hookset comes from a steady draw of line (Octopus and circle hooks.) LaughingVulcan 19:23, 1 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
