Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because Luc Giard is a comic art legend of Montreal's alternative comic scene. He is published by Drawn & Quarterly. — Tobahc (talk) 21:11, 22 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Can you provide references that show significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources? The first of your two links just shows some of his work, the second is a deadlink. We need something about him. See also WP:Notability and WP:Notability (people). JohnCD (talk) 21:25, 22 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because Luc Giard is a Canadian underground cartoonist and artist. He's a comic art legend for some and he's well known in Montreal. He's published by Drawn and Quarterly. — Tobahc (talk) 21:44, 22 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
