hungarian sources:

I moved Tisza-tó to the English Lake Theiss (with redirect, of course) to be consistent—the river is under Theiss River, not Tisza. —Tkinias 19:08, 21 Mar 2004 (UTC)

I am not aware of the existence of the name "lake theiss" (check, but I believe it is not referenced as such in English touristic literature, either). It was a translation, the name of the lake is "Tisza-tó". Consider that. --grin 19:13, 2004 Mar 21 (UTC)
I just did some googling, and it seems that "Lake Theiss" is in fact used in English, at least on several real estate Web sites. I also came across "Lake Tisza", which is hardly surprising.
My own preference, BTW, would be always to use native-language names instead of English (e.g., Praha not Prague, al-Qāhirah not Cairo) but that is not Wikipedia policy :( —Tkinias 20:56, 21 Mar 2004 (UTC)
I accept that. Thanks for the grammanical fixes. :-) --grin 11:16, 2004 Mar 22 (UTC)

Lake Theiss → Lake Tisza – The correct name of the lake in English is "Lake Tisza".
