Hello and namaste.

I just made a series of edits to this article, all of which I intended to be constructive. I found this article while searching for old graffiti and vandalism. While I was cleaning that up, I noticed a couple of other relatively minor issues (typos, etc), which I also repaired.

I'm posting this here because I also wanted to point out that I also removed the following block of text from the article's "External links" section (I've added the italics):

kallahalli sri Venkataramana Temple,Malagalu sri Mahadeveshwara Temple,Sri Degula mutt,Sri Hanuman(Holae Kattae Sri Mukhyapraana) Temple,on the bank of the River Arkavathi, are the places of interest. This Hanuman Temple is one of the 732 Hanuman idols Consecrated by Madhwa saint Sri Vyasarayaru.Till today, pooja and other rituals are performed with devotion. The idol is believed to have consecraeted in 1500 A.D.One of the JGUTHA Sthala;where the wishes of the devotees are fulfilled.

The editor who added this may have, in good faith, intended it for the article's "Places to see" section, but because it sounds to me a bit non-neutral, is unsourced and also needs some help grammatically, I chose to remove it. If you disagree and would like to put it back, then please feel free to do so. All I ask is that you re-write it so that it's up to Wikipedia standards.

Thanks and have a nice day. -- Bgpaulus (talk) 20:32, 29 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

KanakapurKanakapura – This is the most common name. For Kanakapura there are 548k hits [1], for Kanakapur there are 28k – [2]. With a corresponding google book search the ratio is 7830 to 510 ([3], [4]). The previous name change appears to be on the assumption that the Hindi pronunciation should be the name used.
