Where is the link to the cartoon character that was what I was looking for? Are they related?
- Assuming your question is for real, then the UK vocalist is named Betty Boo; whilst the cartoon character, from which she takes her stage name is Betty Boop.

Yes, the question was for real. I just assumed the character's last name was Boo and a Google image search contributed to the confusion.
Thanks.

Miming
- Didn't her career sink mostly because she played some concert where everyone realised she was miming ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.54.130.227 (talk) 04:25, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
- - - Yes! I recall her dropping a mic during a performance in Sydney(?) during the early 90s. I know this doesn't help but it may help when searching for the info online, but the story I recall was that she was suffering from a cold before a performance during the East Coast leg of her promotional tour of Oz and either decided to go on or was told to go on. In any event, during the performance, she dropped her mic and she could still be heard singing from the sound system. (192.43.227.18 (talk) 06:30, 30 June 2008 (UTC))
Is this because it was interpreted to be a 'discussion' of Betty Boo, or was someone being a bit of a tool?
I personally think this should be added to the article about Ms Clarkson since it is a significant, career altering event. Okay, it's a crappy thing to have happened to someone, but she has bounced back with a successful career in song writing and producing.

- Whatever happened at the concert, those links don't show it to be a "career altering event". All that those sources talk about is allegedly miming at one concert, but there's not really anything beyond that. Her UK single sales actually improved after the concert in question, so it's possible that whatever happened had no long-term effect at all. Boo's last single before the concert (24 Hours) charted at number 25, her first single after the concert (Let Me Take You There) charted at number 12. --88.112.155.70 (talk) 04:46, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
- Getting found out miming at a 'live concert' is what this person is mainly remembered for, its bizarre that its not even mentioned in the article.80.7.240.49 (talk) 20:48, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
- It was at the "21st Century Dance Club" in Frankston. The sound kept coming after she dropped the mike. It's ALL she's known for. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.35.135.136 (talk) 04:17, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
