The result of the move request was: Moved. (non-admin closure) – Ammarpad (talk) 06:07, 20 November 2019 (UTC)
- and correspondingly before that move Russian world --> Russian world (disambiguation)
Russian world (concept) → Russian world – undo incorrect recent moves/renames. The term "Russian world" has a clear primary meaning, and it is the concept. Staszek Lem (talk) 23:57, 11 November 2019 (UTC)
- Support. The only meaning of 'Russian world' with a lowercase 'w'; and a very clear WP:PTOPIC. Narky Blert (talk) 17:32, 16 November 2019 (UTC)
- The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
Proper top image
[edit]This. The caption says "All Russia in One Photo". Unfortunately I failed to find the original post, to see whether it has good license (or to ask the author for the release). Staszek Lem (talk) 20:05, 27 November 2019 (UTC)
- @Staszek Lem: I am in favor of using this picture in the article, but not as the top image. I say that because the current image conveys a great sense of dignity reminiscent of Greek sculptures, whereas the image you propose gave me a good laugh Veverve (talk) 20:11, 27 November 2019 (UTC)
Additional translation
[edit]It is not (only) world. Wrong translation. It is more alongside: Pax_Romana Pax Americana
In Polish: ład.
The usual English term is : order.
See New International Economic Order and of course the NWO itself.
Let us add it.

Style to fix
[edit]Let us copy terms from Pax Romana (hegemonic etc) to fix:
the social totality associated with Russian culture.

What does "мир" mean here?
[edit]According to Wiktionary, мир has two meanings: world and peace. Since the Latin name of this concept is Pax Rossica, shouldn't we consider changing the title to Russian peace, or something similar? Hvn0413 (talk) 14:38, 4 March 2022 (UTC)
- In Russian in this case, it means world. And all the sourcing agrees with this. Officially it translates as "Russian world", here is TASS for example about government's Russkiy Mir Foundation. Mellk (talk) 15:04, 4 March 2022 (UTC)
- This is "World", but it is incorrectly described in the lead as "social totality associated with Russian culture". Where this came from? "Russian world" is actually a geopolitical doctrine of modern-day Russian Federation. My very best wishes (talk) 16:01, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
- @My very best wishes: those parts in the lede are sourced; I have no checked those sources given. Veverve (talk) 16:20, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Hvn0413 aning russian peasants this word means "community" or "commune" 151.248.62.101 (talk) 11:55, 26 July 2022 (UTC)
Use of quotation marks
[edit]We shouldn't treat this aggressive irredentist concept as "legitimate", so I am adding quotation marks all throughout the article for the term. The "Russian world" is not a real thing, it's only a dream of Putin and his political elite, at least now that its original meaning has been so modified. Super Ψ Dro 10:02, 13 April 2022 (UTC)

- Yes, good sources. I will try to fix this page a little, starting from providing several definitions (just started). There was recently interesting book titled "“Russian Anti-World”" [1], [2] by Mikhail Epstein. My very best wishes (talk) 20:49, 12 June 2023 (UTC)
