Ancient ancestor

Another problem is WP:UNDUE. Genealogists tend to ignore/skip and otherwise "lose" "undesirablo" ancestors. We each have 2 parents, 4 gparents, 8 ggparents, 16 gggparents, and 32 ggggparents, about the distance of Arnold's. What about the other 31 ggggparents? "Nothing is known." Why not? Because they were indentured servants, Indian descendant, expelled from the church, etc. etc. Those are "forgotten" by genealogy. Don't look good. This has probably all been discussed at length long before, else we'd have huge genealogies blanketing presidents. There aren't. So there is a rule someplace.

Another one, is, of course, WP:TOPIC. This is about Arnold, not some distant, and most likely forgotten at the time, ancestor. Student7 (talk) 03:26, 22 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

In archive: [[1]]. No relevance can be clearly shown between Arnold and this ancestor. Shouldn't be mentioned at all.WP:IRR. BTW most of us, if of English descent (80%), are descended from Edward II. So what?Student7 (talk) 03:38, 22 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
