Suggestion
[edit]Can someone add a comment about the effective removal of the toilet paper from the roof? Or must one wait for Nature to degrade the paper and rain to run it off? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ksoileau (talk • contribs) 13:02, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
Notability
[edit]I think this is a pretty well known fact. Roxanne Edits 23:45, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
I had never heard of it being only homecoming night
Motivation
[edit]More often than not, when houses in my neighborhood were toilet papered (when I was growing up) it was strictly vandalism and almost always accompanied egging and creaming.
I don't know about this "rite of passage" thing. --angrykeyboarder (a/k/a:Scott) 08:54, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- @Angrykeyboarder: There is an article on egging, but could you describe what "creaming" is? I've tried to find information on it and I cannot tell what sort of cream is used. 2601:647:CB03:5930:14B1:4A:E761:70B7 (talk) 00:04, 9 May 2020 (UTC)
Consistency
[edit]The text says that TPing is a crime in Texas but the later list states TPing is legal in Texas. Someone who knows the gen should delete the incorrect bit. Also, the link to "creaming" leads to an article about cooking. 172.168.79.132 00:21, 6 November 2007 (UTC)RKH
Sounds like someone's wishful thinking - TP'ing a house would be prosecuted as a criminal mischief. 99.58.116.217 (talk) 00:21, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
Black Friday?
[edit]I don't get the referencer to Black Friday. The major use of this expression is for the Friday following Thanksgiving in the US, commonly held to be the start of the Christmas shopping season. Why anyone would choose this day to TP someone's house is beyond me. Wschart (talk) 21:39, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- I am also puzzled by the reference to Black Friday, especially the mention of bowling. I can find no Black Friday bowling tradition anywhere on the Internet.--Jmjanzen (talk) 14:42, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
Article improvements
[edit]Article could use a photo (but please don't do any TP'ing to get one) and citations. I also think the article could use some re-writing to "de-US" it.
But does it happen outwith the US? 217.44.96.195 (talk) 08:24, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
Done. Someone (not me) TPed our bathroom :) --Metallurgist (talk) 01:24, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

Photos
[edit]I added File:Toilet-paper-trees.jpg (which used to be on some toilet paper article to illustrate it) after a bot posted about it being orphaned. I think it adds a *little* to see it in the context of university sports victories? I don't *really* care about the image though. — Fennec 02:02, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
