Sentence with SPLC cite removed and re-inserted

[edit]

The article contains: The Southern Poverty Law Center has profiled him for his promotion of "junk science" on topics connected to sexual orientation, such as in his regular claims that, rather than being genetic, homosexuality is caused by childhood trauma, as well as his support for conversion therapy. citing this which is an access-denied link but also this which is an accessible archive. I on 30 November 2022 removed with edit summary = "Removed a sentence Mr Brown makes regular claims re childhood trauma, conversion therapy. The cited source doesn't mention those things." Delderd on 2 December 2022 reverted the removal with edit summary = "From the link: "He has appeared on television and radio talk shows and last year delivered a keynote presentation at the annual conference for the National Association for the Research and Therapy of Homosexuality (NARTH), the pre-eminent source of junk science aimed at “curing” gay people."" I'm looking now for other opinions: whose edit summary is correct / relevant, and whether Wikipedia policies matter. Peter Gulutzan (talk) 15:58, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Do you need some more links? [1]
Here's an interview where he suggests homosexuality is caused by father issues, along with demonic influences. [2]--Delderd (talk) 16:38, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
