Capen School (now closed) named for Samuel Capen

[edit]

Until recently, Dedham, Massachusetts, where Samuel Capen lived and finally died, had a Capen School (named for Samuel Capen).

The Capen School, which had operated until recently at 322 Sprague Street at the corner of Sprague Street and Etna Road in Dedham, Massachusetts, was recently closed. The school was built in 1927 and was named after Samuel Capen, who was a former Massachusetts State Commissioner of Education.¹³⁴

The building still stands and serves other state and municipal functions and purposes.MaynardClark (talk) 03:12, 17 June 2023 (UTC) MaynardClark (talk) 03:09, 17 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
